No false alarms from all the animals or people. We had tried a similar and cheaper model from The Home Depot but it worked right only intermittently so back it went. If I were to offer a criticism, the fewest number of tones you can request at set-up is four (ding dong, ding dong) when one or at most two, should be included in their lengthy list of sounds.
