dib-1500R Bidet Seat

I had purchased this same seat before about 7 years ago and grew to love it. It keeps you feeling nice and fresh all day. It has many features that are great such as heating in every mode if wanted and even has an enema feature which I've also used upon occasion. That works quite well and is not uncomfortable. The features are equal to or surpass those found in higher priced units. One day it just stopped working. I have a friendly helper who was unable to fix it so I needed a new seat. Last time I bought it it was from the company itself and they were no longer selling to the public so I went on a search and couldn't find it anywhere. Then one day it popped up on Amazon. Even though it was $100 more than I paid for it originally I desperately missed my bidet seat so took the plunge and bought it. It is just as good as my original seat and I'm so happy to have it back in my bathroom again! I'm clean and comfy again.

We were on vacation and our hotel room had one of these installed. It will bring cleanliness to the next level. The product itself is high-tech. It has memory setting for 4 users as the position of the spray is different for different sized user. I am 200+ lbs, wife is 110 lbs and we have our own setting saved. It is very nice in the middle of winter to sit down on a warmed seat and the cleaning features is great, less paper used is better for septic tanks and for women's cleaning needs, it can't be beat. My wife hates to go into the shower a few times a day when that monthly visitor comes. She absolutely love this improvement on our bathroom. Installation is a breeze, it took 20 minutes to install and all plumbing hardware was included in the package to T off the waterline, the wall mounted (via double back tape) is battery powered and it came with Duracell batteries, nice touch on better quality batteries. The only thing left to worry about is the 110VAC required the 110VAC. Right now I have it powered via 25' extension cord just to make sure it works before I splice into our wall switch and install a 110VAC receptacle. We bought the elongated version and it does reduce the seat opening a bit. Still not a problem unless you are closer to 250-300 lbs when I imagine your "man parts" may not fit well within the opening of the seat perhaps. I did read elsewhere that this is a problem with the round opening version of this seat. We did use this style seat on vacation at our hotel so fit function was already confirmed before we buy and besides the 110VAC source, there is absolutely no issue for us with this product, this purchase. You can't go wrong and the quality build, the functionality and the programmable controller with user preset memory can't be beat. I akin this purchase to our Mercedes GL450 with its preset for us as drivers.

I shopped around a lot for a bidet seat. It became very confusing, but it seemed that this one had the most features. Well, we bought it, and I am SO glad we did! It's usually about $500, but we got it on sale for $350, and it has almost everything you could want... almost. And we use every feature. The remote control is very functional. It controls every function of the bidet seat and has indicators showing the status of all the features: Water temp (4 levels), air dryer temp, seat temp, spray force for each function (wash, bidet, enema), user selection and more. Large, very functional display (see below). One great feature is continuous warm water. Most bidets in this price range have a tank and only provide about 30-45 seconds of warm water before it gets cold. Not a pleasant feeling! If you do want cool water, this one gives you that option, but you can have continuous warm water that won't make you jump off the seat. I was amazed to get such a functional bidet seat, with virtually every conceivable feature, at this price. It even has 4 individual user settings to match individual body types and sizes, and preferences. My wife loves the warm seat in the middle of the night. Now... What it doesn't have, that I would like, is a back-lit display on the remote control. Unless there is plenty of light, the display is difficult to read. So we keep a small flashlight handy so we can see it any time of day or night. Other than that, I don't know what more you could ask for in a bidet seat even though you can pay a heck of a lot more. If you're considering a bidet seat, I'd strongly recommend you give this one a lot of consideration. Anyone would enjoy having this seat, for comfort as well as cleanliness, but especially the elderly and those with chronic digestive problems. And everyone knows how sore you can get "down there" if you have - let's politely say "the flu" - and this seat is a godsend when you do.

Update 3-10-18: I am thinking of upgrading my 2nd bathroom, and I'm looking at buying another one of these bidets. Looking back almost 4 years, I can say this unit has worked very well, all its functions still work well, except for an LED light that flickers on top of the unit that tells you when the unit has the seat in warm mode. The other thing is that I hate having a remote control, it would be much better to get the attached control with it, the batteries simply don't last enough (every couple of months). I suppose I could run a DC charge and never have to worry about batteries again, but that's a pain. There is a basic on/off small panel on the side which I always use. Another minor gripe is the weak drying function, I never use it, come to think of it, I only use the controls on the side and the heat functions. The seat warmer and the hot water are nice touch in the winter. --- Original post: I love this bidet, the best function is the air purifier, it has a charcoal filter and it removes all odors! The other great thing is the remote panel is very easy to use, it also has a small basic panel attached to the seat, but I haven't used it yet. So far, I'm very satisfied with this and everyone asks about it. Today, after 10 years, I had to finally replace this great product. It served me well, but I think my wife was sitting on the lid and if began to break, the plastic was getting brittle, and the tank was leaking water from somewhere. I replaced it with a Toto C2.

Quality and performance has been very good - it takes a little getting used to but after a couple uses my wife and I wish we had gotten a Bidet sooner. This is the first Bidet for us so really cannot compare to other brands/models but I am very happy with all the features which seem to me to be all we need. Installation was a breeze but I was fortunate to have a power outlet within reach with a 10 foot extension cord. We both very much enjoy the feeling of being clean and knowing we are actually squeaky clean. I have taken to using the wash feature even when I don't need it - it just feels good :>). And, for those in our age group (60+) this makes keeping clean a hell of a lot easier - I just am not as flexible as I used to be. I can also imagine how beneficial a Bidet is for the unfortunate folks who's health or an injury has made the whole bathroom experience a less than pleasant one the bidet is a real health aid that allows one to maintain their privacy for as long as possible. I spent weeks reviewing the options available - Brands, Models, Features, Reviews and wondering if these things were a gimmick or would really add to our life in a positive way. Finally selected the dib-1500R because it seemed to be a good balance between cost and features AND it had gotten pretty good reviews. I did read a few reviews that were really negative but now that I have installed and used our unit for several weeks I am not sure why they were so negative. I consider this product to be excellent quality and performance speaks for itself - my butt is squeaky clean all the time. Plus, they do have a good return policy - doubt it will be needed.

Dislike/Tips: need teflon tape for the t-joint pipe. first I would disassemble the old toilet seat and clean the area. then get the T pipe wrap with teflon tape. amounting the seat to the bracket was difficult for me. it didn't slide so easily. many tries just wouldn't able to get it on. what I did was took out the bracket and slid it outside while holding the seat on my lap (metal bracket/ plastic nuts already in place). Once I got it to click, I just mount onto the toilet holes where the plastic bolts should go and made adjustment and tighten the nuts. This step was the most time consuming. as far as the pipe connection goes it was simple. make sure you hand tight where the plastic connections. didn't hire electrician to install new outlet. I just got extension cord 15' with conduit and connect the power. as far as the seat.. it is not for large person (250lbs+). This is Korean product. works well like the deodorizer and remote that mounted on the wall (came with 3m tape but you can use screw with it). I wouldn't trust using just the tape it can fall out and damage your remote. water does takes 3 seconds to warm up. seat heats up gradually as well. remote also has digital time display which is a plus. No LCD light in the background but who needs it when bathroom light is lit. for quality and price and value....I would definitely highly recommend and must buy; although, not sure about the reliability in the long run. also you can get spare parts at bidetking.com and they have installation video guide. done alot of research before purchasing this and I'm glad that I did. you won't be disappointed.

First off, I love these machines. The function is comfortable and very effective. However, they tend not to last more than a few years, so that takes a star off. The last time I bought one was in April of 2024. I paid $360 for it, and that seemed a bit steep. I currently have a broken that I need to replace, so I went back here to order it and found the price at $514. That's an increase of roughly 43% over 2 years, or almost 20% increase per year. That's the second star off my rating. Needless to say, I will not be purchasing one of these today. I will wait in hopes that the price comes back to something resembling reasonable. A little inflation is expected, but this rate is unacceptable.

For those who have lived in countries where bidet are used instead of (or before) toilet paper, you'll love this; for all others, you'll learn to love this (particularly if you have young children, are elderly, or have some other issue(s) that make toilet paper expensive, messy, and inadequate). I leave the other reviews to convince you that bidets are great; I'd like to focus on a few things. First: Brondell BioClean 1000 v. Clean Sense dib-1500R: We own the Clean Sense, but my sister owns the Brondell, so I'd like to help out anyone who is looking at both. * The Brondell remote has no screen -- it uses color codes on each button. The Clean Sense has the buttons, but relies on a screen to tell you the current settings, what's on, the time, etc. I have issues seeing color and the Brondell's little tiny lights on each button are too close to each other for me to tell the difference. If you want or need a clear output method, Clean Sense is better and doesn't require you to memorize what each color for each button means. * Both have "memory" and neither lets you lock the settings so that your kids who can't read well don't change things to crazy settings (although Clean Sense in "Child Mode" does limit some of the settings that the child can hit). * The Clean Sense has finer grained control over things like flow rate. Also, the lowest flow setting on the Brondell is still pretty strong and, honestly, a bit abrasive/too strong. The Brondell's lowest flow rate setting is more like the Clean Sense's level 3 intensity, which actually hurts me (so I could not have a Brondell in my house). * Both offer things like a heated seat, deoderizer, etc. There doesn't seem to be a feature in the Brondell that isn't in the Clean Sense. * I do prefer the Brondell's anchor -- the Clean Sense can wiggle around, going slightly ajar, something I've never noticed on the Brondell. What I mean is the part that connects the bidget to it's plastic base (which connects to the toilet). The Clean Sense can move, in the front, left to right a bit, which has always made me afraid that it will eventually break off. This is a minor thing, though. Overall, I find the Clean Sense easier to use (for my wife, children [all pre-teens], and myself), easier to learn, and faster to figure out if the settings are where you want and need them. The Clean Sense also is at a lower price-point and has the same features. I'd buy the Clean Sense over the Brondell. ---- Now, on to some other matters. Please remember that you will likely have to add an outlet (I'd recommend a tamper-proof gfci outlet), but don't let that scare you -- it's fairly easy to do in most cases and, if nothing else, an electrician should be able to do it for a pretty small amount of money. If you do add the outlet yourself, please remember that you should take into account if the tank or bowl overflows, the water shutoff valve at the toilet fails, any sinks, etc, and place the outlet in a safe place. Also, please remember that to clean the nozzle you have to press and hold the "wash" button on the bidet itself (on the right side, near the back, as you sit on it). A cotton swab should do the trick and you shouldn't have to do this often -- I've owned this for over a year and have only cleaned it once, and that was just because I hadn't had to and decided I should give it a go. You'll know you need to clean it if the spray is more widespread or weaker than it should be (a water filter, though, should make it so that you hardly ever have to clean it -- I have a water filter, which might be why I've never *actually* had to clean it).
