I think the meaning of clear is no chunks. I needed a non-colored broth for a medical procedure, so clear is not a lack of color. Not complaining, just explaining :0)

This is a fantastic spice for almost anything. (Not ice cream, that would be gross!) Enhances soups, stews, gravy. This is a staple in many German kitchens.

I grew up in a German household and this taste brings me back. Only difference is I’m use to the little vegetables in it but this is a great stock base for soup or cooking! I love the flavor! And the smell makes me so happy!

I love to cook with authentic national products for authentic results. This product is authentic, but close to expiration. It would be considered subpar, and not used by accomplished chefs. Having spent time in Germany, I believe this is a liquidated item being sold by a third party at premium fresh product prices. I intend to seal it in vacuum sealed amounts, freeze it, and use it as needed to prolong any shelf-life and flavor it may have left in it.

As a German living in America I have been searching for a German broth for a while. I am so happy I found this! It tastes exactly as I remember. I will repurchase often!
