This is a excellent book for those of you looking for a book on how to obtain and use effects in a modern day era. I am using this book to open up new horizons for me in my home studio. This is also a excellent book to read before buying that have to have hardware or software plugins. This book will save you valuable time and resources.

Paul White's 'Creative Recording 1 & 2' books are very good. They are easy to understand and follow for a beginning audio engineer with little more than an interest and passion to embark on a career in audio production. Both of these books comprehensively cover most of the key concepts and techniques required.

Good general book. Not exactly what I wanted. I was looking for more practical advice on how to produce good midi files on my home computer.
