I was surprised that such a small scale can hold and weigh up to 2 kg, but it worked fine for weighing a couple heavy cones of yarn I had. The only downside that I have noticed is that it has a bit of a delayed reaction before it displays the weight. It takes a couple seconds for the weight to register, and when I am pouring dye powder onto the scale this sometimes causes me to overshoot and add too much. Not a big deal though, just takes a few extra seconds to make sure it is displaying the actual weight. For the price, this scale is the best value I have found.
