I am very hour-glassy with slightly wider hips. I ordered a 12 and it was quite large (probably needed 2-3 sizes smaller) on top and tight on the bottom. For reference my measurements are 36 Bust 31 Waist 41 Hips. Also, this dress is not a purple tone as it appears in the photo, but definitely more the "burgundy" shade as it is labeled. Think wine red. Overall, it was lovely and well-made.
