Boompro Gaming Mic - Boom Microphone for Playstation PS4, Xbox One, PC - Compatible with Sennheiser HD598, HD599 Headphones with Volume Control (150CM)

Does exactly what you'd hope, converting a pair of headphones into a headset with a simple cable swap. The microphone is good quality (comparable to ~£150 Sennheiser gaming headset) and comes with a small foam pop shield and a decently bendy boom. The clip has a resistive volume dial (i.e. doesn't control the system volume directly) which is useful to offset volume if the system volume level is too high. The cable is quite phonic (i.e. friction results in noise transmitting up the cable) but has a clip to attach to clothing which eliminates this.

The cable is good quality and is a decent length but the mic that is on this is just not fit for purpose. It sounds good enough but it doesn’t isolate at all which means it picks up every single sound in the room. As there’s two of us in the room often on the same Discord server it means you end up hearing yourself through the other persons mic. Have switched back to a gaming headset and this doesn’t have this issue.

I bought the Senheisser mic model for HD599. The cable fits perfectly into the headphones. The mic quality seems fine. The wind shield is a bit cheap feeling (then again, it is just a bit of foam) and has a lose fit and can fall out easily if left on a chair for example. I don't like the volume control much. It seems cheap and the volume wheel is a bit small. The volume control on my Logitech G PRO is better I think. Still a good product though.

Plugs in easily, immediately works, comes with all the adapter bits you might need. Works with phone, computer, Playstation, all good. Picks up background noise if any is present. I prefer the feel of a more well-known brand, but they don't do a sennheiser version, slightly more microphonic cable (noise of cable rubbing on something can be heard in headset) doesn't seem to transfer through the microphone to the audience. Position out of your breath stream so people hear your voice not your breathing(pop filter included). Good value, feels robust, easy to use and position.

Brilliant. Messed about for years with splitter cables to allow me to use my Sennheiser HD 579 for gaming. Found this item, replaces the stock bulky cable with a much slimmer cable and microphone with inbuilt volume and mic mute control. Microphone quality appears to be great, but if using xbox turn master volume down on the xbox to prevent echo. Only small issue is what everybody else has said and that the microphone foam comes off easily. Time will tell how well built it is. Well recommended. Edit: about 6 months on the headset kept cutting out, I found this to be the cable of the adapter near the connector end. I've had to order a replacement as it's the only suitable solution for xbox and sennheiser headphones at the moment! Bit dissapointed.

Works really well, although it does pickup external sounds sometimes, which apps like Discord effortlessly filter out. The plug for Sennheiser didn't fit so I had to take away some material with a knife. Works well now.

Originally I bought a more expensive mic (V-Moda Boompro) however my Sennheiser HD599SE headphones have a 2.5mm jack so it wasn't compatible without an adapter. I tested the mic quality of these compared to the Boompro and didn't notice any difference so I'm returning the Boompro and keeping this. People on Teams call already noticed the difference so very happy with this mic. The cable length is good, the volume and mute buttons are also great. Given that this mic cost less than half what I paid for the boompro and didn't require an additional adapter is awesome.

Would not recommend this product. Do yourself a favor and by something else that's a better build quality and won't die so quickly. Initially this worked fine without issues, was used 1-2 times a week for raid and gaming nights and the sound quality was fine. Fast forward 2 months and it no longer works. It abruptly died in the middle of a call and a lot of troubleshooting later it's still dead. Time to find another bloody mic!

Kvaliteten är bra, passformen i pluggen är kanon och den går att böja lätt ur vägen. Bra produkt som räddade mig från sämre lösningar för att få en mikrofon till mina hörlurar (Sennheiser HD560S).

Parece que viene con los propios cascos y se escucha perfectamente. Para mi, un 10. Si lo compráis, recordad subir el volumen de entrada en Windows! Si no igual os escuchan algo bajo

Ho acquistato questo microfono durante le offerte del Prime Day per le mie nuove Sennheiser HD 599. Il microfono è perfettamente compatibile con le cuffie in questione ed offre una qualità del suono davvero sorprendente, permetto di crearsi il proprio HEADSET con qualità impeccabile! L'unica pecca è la comodità: il cavo è un po' corto e i jack per collegare microfono e cuffie separatamente sono troppo vicini fra loro! Dovendoli collegare entrambi sul pannello posteriore della scheda madre, mi sembrano forzati in una posizione che in futuro potrebbe danneggiarli facilmente... In più, è presente il jack per collegare sia cuffie che microfono con una sola entrata, tuttavia non capisco il motivo ma in questo modo vengono riconosciute solamente le cuffie... Per il resto: CONSIGLIATO

Solides Mikrofon, passt zu meinen Sennheiser Kopfhörern und Sprachqualität ist gut.

Ottimo prodotto, sembra tutto di ottima fattura e funziona con le cuffie Sennheiser 560s (forse) dico forse, perché in realtà il cavo funziona correttamente se collegato direttamente al telefono e/o dispositivo con ingresso unico (jack 3.5 4poli) invece se si usa l'adattatore Y come nel caso mio per l'utilizzo sul pc desktop con ingressi separati microfono e cuffie, si sente solo lo speaker sx e il microfono sembra in corto ? ho un altro adattatore(UGREEN Cavo Audio Sdoppiatore Cuffie Microfono 2 in 1) e funziona tutto correttamente... se il venditore e gentile da spedire uno nuovo o magari controllare per confermare il corretto funzionamento, il prodotto sarà solo da 5 stelle.
