a 12 year old's review
this is a very good, very fun toy. for those of you who do not know how it shoots a ball of air 40 feet,(yes, 40 feet!!!) it fires a fairly large toroidal vortex, a doughnut of spinning air that has very low air resistance. it is a little tricky to assemble, but i got it together in a few minutes. try putting the top plate on first. once you get the screws in place, it is very sturdy. this is very fun. it can blast hair, curtains, christmas trees, important paper documents, pets, dust, siblings, etc. very effectively. the flip-up sights are really accurate. it has quite a kick to it when you fire, and requires moderate strength to pull back into firing position. the plastic membrane that pushes the air gets wrinkled quite a bit, but it has held up so far. if you stick some incense into it for a good 15 seconds, you can see the vortex, or smoke ring, travel through the air (make sure you ease the membrane forward, not release it!). i calculated the speed of the vortex at 20 mph. it is actually so powerful that my mom banned me from shooting it at people, because it feels like someone hit you with a pillow. overall, i recommend this to anyone 10 and up with a lot of stuff around the house to shoot. most fun toy i've ever had! P.S. if you shoot it at a wall, you can hear a 'pfft' from it hitting the wall, and it whistling through the air directly before.

One of the Favorite Gifts of the Year - I've Created an Air Blasting Monster
The Airzooka Air Blaster is one of those products that I would probably win both "parent of the year" as well as "worst parent of the year" for. This toy was a bit challenging to set up initially, but once all the plastic pieces were snapped into place, the kids had the biggest blast shooting puffs of air at each other. The puffs of air are entirely harmless and it was fun for everyone to blast each other with a puff of air from across the room. The only one who really didn't like this toy was the dog, who quickly learned to hide under the bed when this toy was pulled out. I quickly won "the best mom ever award" for the fun toy, but also got "the worst mom ever award" when I noted that you could probably fart in it and blast it across the room....regardless, it's a great toy that's fun to play with indoors while we're hanging out at home.

Super fun and entertaining play
Super fun for my kids. Not the most durable but still works after hours of play.

Fun item to have
This air blaster has been around for years and this is a second generation of me, giving it to a grandchild and they are absolutely in love with it! Love the laughter on their face when they use it on their siblings, works really well and you cannot beat the price! Very easy to put together.

Fun, but the novelty wears off ...
This item can be loads of fun ... for a little while. As a teacher I use it from time to time when my kids are not paying attention. I can hit a student clear across the room (you have to aim low, the air blast seems to arc upwards for some reason ... I should ask th ephysics teacher about that). However, the novelty wears off pretty quick, and you are left with a frankly ugly plastic thing hidden under your desk until you decide to use it next. Well made, with solid construction, but after a while you get tired of trying to think of ways to use it. So, it gathers dust until you think it will be fun to use it again, but every time the novelty period is shorter and the gaps between uses get longer. I will probably eventually give it away to a science teacher who can use it as a teaching tool. It is kinda like a movie. It probably costs more than it is worth if it can't keep your interest, but if it keeps your interest, it is worth every penny.

I love this, as did my nieces and nephews. A great non-battery toy.
One of my nephews just turned 9 and I got him this Airzooka as a gift. He seemed disappointed upon seeing the box, expecting something electronic I think. Once it was assembled though, and demonstrated to him, he was delighted. The air blast coming from the Airzooka carries a surprising distance, and the target feels for an instant as though he's been hit by something very soft. But there's nothing but a targeted gust of air, making this a much friendlier toy than a gun that shoots actual projectiles. I personally was charmed by the fact that this remarkable effect is generated without use of any batteries. The design is ingenious. Some reviews here have complained about the difficulty of assembling the airzooka. I found that assembly was easy, but the instructions were bad. At one point, they call for "rotating" the barrel of the gun, which I first took to mean rotating the lower part of the telescoping barrel relative to the upper parts. That isn't what they mean, and in fact they could just have said "extend the telescoping barrel all the way" and saved the confusion. Assembly takes one wide-tip screwdriver (I actually used a narrow chisel), and took about five minutes. The only bad news about this toy, from my point of view, is that it is loud. Parents are typically going to want to restrict it to outdoor use as a result. I plan to buy a second Airzooka next month for another nephew; they are going to love having "air wars" with each other.

Airzooka Air Gun - Life of the Party
We got the Airzooka Air Gun for a fun Christmas gift exchange. Luckily I had assembled it before the gift exchange because it's a bit tricky. I had a little trouble getting the parts to line up and I kept imagining that it was going to be flimsy. Once together it is solid. The air gun was the hit of the gift exchange. We finally had to tell the kids to quit shooting us. Not because the puff of air is bad, but because it makes a pretty loud popping sound when you shoot it. The next morning we did some indoor range testing. We found that it can significantly ruffle the hair of someone 30 feet away! It feels like a ball of air has hit you. We couldn't understand how the ball of air stays so stable after traveling 30 feet. The Airzooka Air Gun does exactly what is claimed for it. Good, fun product.

It's a blast!
It can knock over an empty toilet paper roll from across the room... I wasn't expecting it to work this well, I'm very happy with it!
