SOME FREE ADVICE
Alright Ya'll- I have my cosmo license, and have spent majority of my life looking for the most bang for my buck as far as my own personal hair color goes. I was blessed with the most versatile natural hair to color- platinum blonde (I was tow headed as a child). The only downside? I HATE my natural haircolor, it washes me out SO much. I've spent HUNDREDS of dollars trying everything from lime green to black to various balayage, and all of it was OKAY, but after years of searching, I discovered that a natural ginger looks best on me. The only problem? A natural looking ginger at home is INCREDIBLY difficult to not only achieve, but also to maintain. So here I am, giving away my secrets. This Adore Ginger is an absolute go-to. It sets a wonderful base- its a bit more red-toned than a natural ginger, [picture #1] but that quickly fades in about 3 washes (Red has the largest color molecules and leaves the pores in your hair the quickest- ProTip.) Once that red fades, you're left with this GORGEOUS color that ALMOST passes as natural. ALMOST. From about 3 feet away, it looks like you were born with it. Any closer, and you start to notice some green tinging that is NOT so natural. [picture #2] So to combat greenish tones and give you that little extra OOMPH that you need for that complete natural look, pair ADORE GINGER with a HENNA natural dye (thats right). I STRONGLY recommend The Henna Guy's Orange/Red (its available on amazon for about $15 a pack, you'll get roughly 4-8 dyes out of it depending on your hair length)- this will help your roots look naturally ginger as they grow out while blending into your ADORE base. Use the henna every 2-3 weeks all over your hair to refresh your color, combat the greenish tinging, and keep it SILKY soft and natural looking. The henna smells horrible, especially in comparison to how amazing the ADORE smells, but TRUST ME ON THIS. [picture #3] I've used this technique for over 2 years, and I get asked on a weekly basis if "thats my natural hair". The fresh color between these two is STUNNING, and the fade out not only takes FOREVER with this combination, but looks even MORE natural with time. The henna will wash out well after the ADORE does, and if you keep alternating, not only will you have a GORGEOUS natural ginger for as long as you want, but the money you'll save on skipping the salon is worth it in itself- I'm always down to help clients learn things on their own because everyone's tastes are different, and your vision might differ from your stylist's vision when it comes to color. Also, we are in a pandemic, no one wants to spend $100+ on a color that requires upkeep the way ginger does. I've tried to do this with many other dyes, products, and brands, but the only acceptable base is ADORE Ginger- I will never stop using this line of products and strongly recommend them to anyone who wants rich color with minimal damage. 10/10 FOR SURE.

Best Natural Copper Dye
I have curly hair and I follow the curly girl method for all my hair products; no sulfates, silicones, parabens, mineral oil & waxes, & drying alcohols. And this is one of the only hair dyes that has none of these and it also has no ammonia or peroxide which is great. The price is also so affordable. I buy the shades ginger, sunshine orange and French cognac, though I usually just mix ginger and sunshine orange to get the perfect natural looking light copper shade, sometimes I even do a copper warm blondish shade. I do mostly ginger with 1/4 sunshine orange. The directions say to use on wet hair and leave for 15-20 minutes, however this literally doesn’t work as you can also see elsewhere in the reviews. I went to cosmetology school and I apply it to completely dry hair and leave for 35-50 minutes, and I put an aluminum foil reusable hair cap and then I tie a plastic bag around it to generate more heat, and then I put my microwaveable thermal hair hot cap over top of that. You can also just tie 2 plastic bags, one on top of the other, tightly around your head to generate heat and this also works very well. After this, I rinse the dye out completely and instead of using shampoo, I use a cleansing conditioner or cowash to wash my hair with so the dye isn’t mostly stripped out by shampoo giving it a little more time to sit in my hair for 1-3 days before I use shampoo. With this dye, it’s impossible to overprocess your hair with it which is also very important and nice, so it doesn’t cause damage. The bottles seem small but really it takes just 1/2 to 3/4 of a bottle, 1 bottle max, to saturate all of my hair, and I have a lot of hair. The dye lasts for about 6-10 weeks depending, and sometimes I just refresh my hair color using a color depositing conditioner in between dyes. I always recommend this dye, and it’s so simple to use and doesn’t require a toner or anything.

Color chart true to reality
The color is vibrant. The color chart was true to real color. I recommend using it on wet hair and using a blow dryer to heat the color while it is setting. I did it on dry hair with a plastic hair cover the first time and it did not stick.

Wow! Long story below.
I'm in love. It's stunning. So, let me explain: I love ginger hair – I've been dying my hair ginger since approx. Nov/Dec 2020. Long story short, I went to a salon, the hairstylist did a terrible job, I went to a different one, same story... I hate salons, they don't know how to give me what I want. When I say ginger I mean orange, not strawberry blonde, not reddish brown – orange. Anyway, since those two failed attempts, I've been trying different at home custom hair dye companies and having my fiancé dye my hair because he listens and is willing do to it for me. I loved Color&Co, but they went out of business, so I tried Madison Reed, but their ginger was more red, so I hated it. I finally stumbled on Igora Royal and it's amazing, however, I dye my hair about every 8-10 weeks instead of 4-6 because we're lazy and what happened was last time two 60ml tubes were enough, but I started to grow out my hair since the last time I dyed it and basically two tubes was def not enough and I chose the lighter ginger color whereas I used one light copper one darker copper the first time and I loved it. So we didn't have enough dye and on my first ever salon visit, the stylist gave me highlights, which now are impossible to cover with color the right way. So basically, I had light orange roots, with almost blonde mid to ends. Not great right before a party on the weekend. So I quickly ordered these Adore Semi-Permanent hair dyes and I didn't know what to expect, but I knew I wanted the ginger color – I bought two bottles. Except it looked kinda light so I also got one bottle of Orange Sunrise to deepen it a bit. Two days after the permanent dye, when I dyed my hair, I used one bottle of ginger and probably maybe 1-2 tablespoons of Orange Sunrise, so it wouldn't get too dark. The photo you see is the result. It's so intense, it's amazing. I can't even get that with the permanent dye sometimes. This one was also easier to apply by myself. I'm even thinking of doing it every month with this dye instead of buying permanent, but I can't comment on how long it'll last since I haven't washed it yet since dying it. Also, I don't know what it'll look like on my natural (medium) brown roots when they grow out again. It might not end up dying it the same color and not work. It worked this time cause my roots were already ginger from the permanent dye. I didn't feel/see any damage after using it right after permanent dye. Finally, I did use it on wet hair (towel dried) and the color result is amazing. I saw some people say it didn't work for them unless they did it on dry hair. And I want to mention, whenever I dye my hair, I wrap it in aluminum foil and then a plastic grocery bag on top to add heat, hence why it might have gotten so intense (waited 30 mins before washing). Anyway, thanks for coming to my Ted talk! My new fav semi permanent dye and I've never used one before!

Yellow
This leans very almost neon yellow. I would recommend mixing it with a darker ginger shade for a true natural ginger. Texture and smell are both great and the pigment payoff is intense.

Long lasting, vibrant colour.
I love this stuff. I started on semi-permanent dyes because I’ve damaged my hair so badly from years of bleach and wanted to be kinder to my hair. I applied this, left it covered with a cap for an hour and my hair was beautifully coloured and felt so soft. The colour fades slowly and After about 2 months I was ready to reapply to bring back the original vibrancy. I have shoulder length hair and I only used half the bottle for my first application so when top up time came I didn’t have to order more, I still had plenty left for round 2. I’ll be buying this exclusively from now on.

This is easy to mix and apply to the hair.
The colour is true to the picture and after drying hair it is shiny as well.
