I've tried them all: Feather, Derby, Bic, Shark, Wilkinson Sword, Gillette, Astra, Merkur, Personna, Treet and many, many more. All of them (except maybe the Treets! Youch!) are great blades, with some great qualities, providing great shaves; but all of them had one thing or another that they were lacking in. Feathers are super sharp, but extremely aggressive. Derbys are smooth, but not sharp enough. I was after the perfect blade and just wasn't having luck finding it. Don't get me wrong, I have enjoyed all of those, but there was just something missing with each of them...That is until I watched Con Kazantzidis of "Shave the Man" YouTube fame's video titled "Choosing the Right Razor Blade - My Top 3." In this video Con ranked these as #2 on his list, after Feather, but also saying that he would use the PolSilver as an every-day shaver, being both very smooth and very sharp. Well, I'd tried Feather and got too much irritation, so I thought I'd give these a shot; boy am I glad I did! Thanks Con!These blades are somehow both incredibly sharp and incredibly smooth. The perfectly balanced blade I've been looking for! I've always gotten excellent shaves from these blades, they really are the best!

Blade are very subjective. One blade will work for you, while the same blade won't agree with someone else's.For me, these blades are top-of-the-line. Yes, i've tried Feather blades and I hated them. These are super smooth, give a great shave and leave no irritation. One thing I don't understand is people complaining that they only get 2-3 shaves per blade. These blades are 34 cents a piece. If you are getting at least two shaves that makes them 17 cents a piece.I've never gotten more than one shave with any other blade aside from these. To me, 17 cents for a two to three pass shave per day is exceptional. I've found a new favorite after years of looking.

Solid blade choice for me - not as sharp as Feather, but also not as harsh. No irritation, nice smooth shave. A lot of reviewers seem to have near legendary durability out of these blades - I don't - typically I toss them after the third shave, which is enough for me to consider it an economical blade. Highly recommended.

This is really a great blade. I have a really thick tuff beard and this is the only blade I have been able to use agressively for up to 5-7 shaves! I have never had a blade that has given me more than two. On top of that it is the smoothest razor blade I have ever tried. Sharp like a feather and way way smoother. Only annoing thing at all is it comes a bit waxy from the packaging when opening individual blades.

Hits the sweet spot for me between being too sharp, and not sharp enough. Usually, I get a few more days out of razors because I buy ones too sharp for me, and struggle a few shaves until they dull down a little. I don't get those extra shaves from these but all my shaves are comfortable now. For the price, that is an easily excepted trade-off for me.

I am very satisfied with this blade. I had been using Sharks for about a year and it seemed that if I weren't nicked with every shave I would at the very least have some sort of irritation. When I received these I immediately lathered up and tried one out. It is my habit to shave once over with the grain, lather up again, and then once more against the grain. I did both with this blade smoothly with the result of a very close shave without any nicks or irritation. With the Sharks I would use the blade from the previous shave to go with the grain and a new one to go against. That was the only way I could get a close shave with the least risk of nicks and / or irritation. I haven't tried using the Polsilver Super Iridium for more than one shave yet, but intend to try. I am very pleased with how close my shave is and feeling fresh as opposed to irritated.

I shaved a 10 day stubble and still got a couple more shaves after that, very sharp and smooth. No whisker burn. Expensive but worth it. My other cheap blades were horrible, especially compared to these. And the extra money for these blades is made up by being reusable and more importantly, for a nice nick free and burn free shave. Outstanding.

Love these blades...best DE shave in my book....but, as is always the case with blades, they are a very personal choice, and your mileage may vary...I get a close, smooth shave, but I also don't have thick growth...
