Doesn't Stay Hot While In Use
This flat iron had all the qualities I was looking for: 1 inch plate, auto shut-off, controls on the inside of the iron (I accidentally turn them off if they are on the outside), and 450 high temp. Unfortunately, it doesn't reach 450. Or if it does, it doesn't stay at 450 when in use despite the temperature readout. My last flat iron (a CHI) reached 410 and was way hotter than this one. Also, the pivot on the iron catches the skin of my wrist and pinches it. I attached a picture of the pivot open so you can see where it's easy to get skin or hair caught in the groove.

Threw it out after one year
I had a previous Kadori iron (giraffe pattern) and I liked it, so when it got stolen, I wanted to get another. I bought this one, and within two months it started squeaking every time I opened and closed it. I had to pay $15 to send it away to get fixed and suffer with bad hair for 2 weeks until it was mailed back. It is fixed, and hopefully stays that way. On the plus side, I like the purple design, it heats fast, and it slides nicely through the hair.Updated Apr 29/15: After it was "fixed", within 2 months it started squeaking again, and it was also sticking on the open/close motion. I contacted Kadori asking that it be replaced with a new one, and they refused. They suggested the noises were due to "hair product residue, dust particles or other sticky substances in your tool", which is BS because I don't use anything on my hair other than shampoo/conditioner, and I keep the unit in a drawer which is not dusty. They also said it was not a "technical malfunction" therefore any repairs were not covered by the 1 year warranty. They offered a "complimentary repair service" and would pay half the shipping. I was not about to do that again since it didn't work the first time. They also suggested "As we said the problem you describe can be cause from dust, sand even bathroom moister can cause this. if you want to send you tool to be repair again, you can do this but we can't send you free tools without receiving and old iron from you". Well there is no dust or sand in my bathroom and there is a brand new fan so it's not moisture.I lived with the squeaking and then shortly after the one year warranty period expired, the unit started displaying "ERR" instead of the temperature and I have to unplug it to reset it. It also randomly does temperature changes even sometimes beyond the maximum 450 degrees. So after one year, I have thrown this unit it in the garbage. It is all flash and no substance. Don't buy it unless you want to replace it in a year. Kadori doesn't understand what customer service is, and they have lost me as a customer.

poorly made
I really like the straightener, I bought it in July and it broke in September. The cord has come apart from the bottom of the striaghner. It still works if I hold it right but it's only a matter of time before it completely goes. But other then that it worked well.

Works best on thin to normal hair. Gets hot very quickly.
This hair straightener is very easy to use, you can digitally adjust the temperature. It goes up to 450 degrees, and heats up very quickly. It has a very long cord, that’s connected to a swivel end, so that no matter which way I move it the cord won’t tangle up. The straightener works well. I have very thick and curly hair, and while it does work on it, it took me a few swipes in the same area. I think this straightener would be best for someone with normal hair, and not incredibly thick and curly hair.I received this product free or at a discount in exchange for my honest and unbiased review. All opinions are my own.

So far so good! It straightens my hair just fine (I have curly hair), and I find it very practical and convenient that I could use it in my trips abroad! Would recommend it!

I bought this item in September, by December, this item quit heating properly. The display would read 35 degrees and then would give an error message. When it did work properly, it would heat up, I would start straightening my hair and the straightener would lose a significant amount of heat and quit working. At my last hair appointment, my stylist pointed out to me how damaged my hair had become. The straightener had snagged so much of my hair in the styling process that it cause a lot of breakage in my hair making it look frizzy and unhealthy. I looked in to returning this item, but it was too far past the date to return. I then looked into sending it to the company for repair but the company is based in Canada and would cost more to send it for repair than it would to just purchase a new straightener from a different company. Very dissatisfied with this product

Great Flat Iron
I was thinking I may be making a bad choice. This flat iron was deep discounted and there were no reviews. I can only say that this is the first flat iron that I have ever used that lived up to my expectations. My hair never looked healthier, shinier and the style has held for two days. Try this Kadori flatiron. You will like it. And the price is right!Faye, Decatur, Ga
