best replacement kit !
Bought it to replace a very expensive downdraft hood , dxh7000 Dietrich which never worked properly. This one from cookology exceeded our expectation. We all know that the best hoods are the celling one however this one does the job as good as ! Look great and work perfectly well and Easy to install done it myself!

Awful Customer Service and Product Broke within a year
This was a complete waste of money. Cookology tried to get out of refunding or replacing stating that the warranty starts from the day the order is placed. They put this, in writing, twice stating I was not entitled to a refund or replacement. However, when I said I would be going to Trading Standards they admitted the warranty starts from the delivery date. I had already told them this, but they had said I was wrong!!! They said the one I ordered was not available so offered a CHEAPER model!!! They also said that the new, cheaper one would have NO warranty. So basically, if it was faulty, I would not be entitled to a replacement! Nice little warmer if you want to get rid of faulty items! Also, I had to pay for people to fit it and they refused to pay for this so I am out of pocket. Do they care? No! Avoid this company at all costs.

Noisy but effective
Nice looking product which is effective but quite noisy in an open plan area

Thoroughly reccomended
This unbranded extractor exceeded my expectations. It could easily pass for a top-end branded item. it is quiet, easy to use and very efficient. I am an engineer and can see that the build quality is very good and is comparable to a high end branded appliance. We fitted this into a large kitchen where a ceiling mounted extractor was difficult to fit and were concerned that this would not 'pull' steam and cooking smells as well as a ceiling-mounted one. We needn't have been worried and the powerful but quiet fan sucks all the air across the hob and down through the charcoal filter. We have vented into a cupboard behind the unit and it is working fine like that, no need to vent to outside.

Best price around
Could not find at a lower price. Works and looks great. Makes the kitchen feel modern. Just remember you will lose the cupboard underneath so make sure you plan your kitchen correctly

Excellent value for money
Considering how inexpensive this item is compared to other more popular makes it really is excellent Very easy to install and looks very impressive Had mine 5 years so has definitely stood the test of time Highly recommend

Unit has stopped working after 14 months!
Buyers beware! These extractors appear cheap, but the old saying of buy cheap buy twice is appropriate. Ours worked fine for 14 months. However, it has now developed what appears from other reviews to be a common fault. This means that the lift mechanism no longer works and is completely dead. The seller is completely unhelpful and seems to think quoting a 12 month warranty is sufficient customer service. You get what you pay for, but buying one of these every year could soon add up!

More of a gimmick than an extractor
I wanted to wait a while before posting a review on this item. We have had it a year so I thought now is a good time. Looks: it looks excellent and it sure is a talking point in the kitchen. Lots of ooows & aaaarghs and “oooh in’t that cleaver?” Easy to clean: It is easy to keep clean, most surfaces just wipe clean, the glass facing the cook always looks smeared, the best thing to use is hob cleaner. There are a lot of nooks and crannies where over time grease will get to so just be mindful of that. If you’re like me it will drive you mad. Does it work: Yes and no. If you have pans on your back hobs then it will pull the steam etc away, anything on the front jobs and it really struggles to get anything. 4 pans on the induction job and it was out of its depth. The built in lights are great, they come on as the extractor rises, they really do make this look special. Noise: It is quite noisy, there is no getting away with it but you do get used to it, just turn the TV up a bit. Easy to fit: It’s actually quite easy to fit, anyone with a bit of DIY skills and a good eye could fit this, remember though, like all extractors it need to vent somewhere or somehow. So, in all … for the money I guess it is worth it, if it had just that bit more pulling power it would be excellent!! Would I buy this again: No. (unfortunately!)
