Okay I was a little hesitant on this because some reviews say the smell is strong and bad. I found after several uses that it kind of just smells like soap? It’s not too strong and overpowering. The product works wonders, and I have had no issues applying it using a tanning glove. No streaks left. It isn’t overly sticky, but it does have some tackiness for the first several minutes. If that bothers you, use baby powder to set it. I really like this product and will be buying it again!

This stuff is amazing! I use medium. It gives me a nice tannish glow that is not give off “oh you self tanned” vibes. I find it doesn’t transfer much at all after it dries, and it dries quickly. I do have one white bra where it transferred to the straps. I put it on just before bed and wake up tanned in the morning. I use a mitt and have never had a streak. Takes me 3-5 minutes to apply. I use their face spray for my face, very lightly, with my white hair pulled back and covered. No issues.

This self-tanning mousse gives a very natural-looking tan and works especially well for people with olive undertones - I don't end up looking orange like I do with some other tanners. It's easy to apply, has only a mild scent, and develops into a nice, even color overall. My only complaints are that it can be a little streaky in some areas and, because it applies clear, it's difficult to see where you've already applied it. That makes it easy to miss spots if you're not careful. Overall, though, it's a great self-tanner and one I would recommend!

By far best tanning lotion! No smears, lasts longer and no bad smell!

I recently underwent a kidney transplant and can no longer use a tanning bed because of the extremely high risk of skin cancer with my immunosuppressant medication. There are so many self tanners out there that I couldn’t believe it. I came upon this product and I am not being paid for this review but I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT. I even tried a professional spray tan and it didn’t come close. I am now saving $50 a month. This product is amazing. Please please do yourself a favor and try it. No orange. No streaks. No fading. It doesn’t come off on things you touch and look like a crime scene. I’ve tried them all. This one is the absolute best one by far. It’s inexpensive and a thick dark mousse foam. I cried when the doctor told me , No more bed tanning. Now, I cry because I wish I found this sooner. The old ones were smelly nasty and look fake. This looks better than the professional, I kid you not. Just purchase a tanning mitt for a few dollars that way it will not get all over your hands. I have included a picture with my socks on so you can see the difference. I get compliments a lot.

I have tried Il Makiage, and it's great. But I think I like Tanologist better. It stays on well, even when I was sweating. I used two applications, because one application didn't give me a DARK Self Tan, as the label suggested. When I had to get back and touch up my knees where my pants rubbed the color off, I was able to do so without streaking - blending was easy and looked good.

I’ve used a lot of tanners and this one meets and misses the mark in several areas. Pros: -It is clear and does not transfer so going to bed prior to applying is great for the sheets! This is probably my favorite pro! -It is faster than most mousse tans I’ve used! You can apply within 6 hours of an event and be several shades darker! -It lasts 5-6 days with one application! I shower everyday (no judgement if you don’t) but I was really surprised at how long this lasted with one application! Cons: -The smell is pretty awful and will linger until it washes off! Not ideal for leaving the house or if you like your partner sleeping with you! 🫢 -The color is a bit too orange for me personally! Even though the color lasts longer, the orange pigment isn’t my favorite. -It’s clear so you better make sure you hit every spot! It does not show up while applying! -Even with double gloves and lotion this stuff just wants to stick to your hands! I believe I purchased the medium mousse and I’ll use it until it’s gone but wouldn’t repurchase. Hope this helps!

Tanologist Express Dark Self Tanning Mousse surprised me with it's color. It looked more natural than I had expected. Mousse is usually complicated to apply--more often than not, the color looks completely unnatural and always has an orange tint that gives it away as "fake", it streaks, it doesn't last very long, or it simply washes off or transfers too easily. Tanologist is a great value for a self tanner because as similar products that have a more natural color are twice the price of this so for the price, it really works out as great. As long as you have the right mitt to apply it, it's pretty easy and doesn't streak or look too orange, depending on your natural skin tone. When you self-tan at home with sunless tanners, you must base your product (its intensity or darkness) on your natural skin tone, either pale, medium, or olive. If you are pale/fair skin toned with natural red or blonde hair, don't go too deep, it will show up orange on you. If you are medium skin toned, with natural darker hues of hair color, you can go a bit deeper depending upon how your natural skin tone is from medium to dark. If you try to go too dark and your skin tone and natural hair color are light, then it will show up orange and you'll need to rinse and reapply, but don't leave it on too long. I like the color and I like that it lasts longer than 2 or 3 days. It transfers, but no more than any other sunless tanning mousse. Make sure you have the right applicator mitt because it does matter. Your sunless tanner form of mousse, water, drops, or lotion will be dependant upon the applicator mitt and it's material. Velvet is good, but with foam or mousse, get the sponge-like material mitts because they spread more evenly without streaking. Wear gloves underneath your mitt and wash your hands ASAP after applying.

Applies nicely on application but doesn’t give a dark tan and it goes SO patchy after a couple of days despite moisturising daily. Won’t be repurchasing
