Colorista 1-Day Washable Temporary Hair Color Spray, Red, 2 Ounces

We loved it for events and Halloween. But beware the red is really hard to get off the scalp. I’m taking days to weeks it stays even if you shower twice a day like me. Looks like blood. People will ask oh is your sons head bleeding I’m like no it’s temporary hair spray that won’t come out. Only color and we have nearly everyone that is stained

I used this spray, the red one, as a part of a Halloween costume. I got parts of my hair bleached and dyed bright yellow the same day I used it, and I totally thought it would stain the yellow. It came out 100% the first wash, even on freshly bleached and dyed hair! It didn’t stain my hair at all! I can’t rave enough about this stuff! It was bright even over the black I had in my hair too. I need all the colors!!!!

This is a terrible product. Your hair will be whatever color you purchase, however at the expensive of extremely sticky texture. You can't touch your hair AT ALL without it getting all over your fingers and hands. Used it roughly 4 days ago for a costume and after approximately 7 washes, I still have red in my hair! This stuff is no different than the much cheaper hair sprays you can purchase from party/Halloween stores!

The first time I used this (red) I used it on all my hair. It was an amazing color, but it got all over everything: my face, my linens, my clothes, my boyfriend, everything. After about a dozen washes, it had faded to a light pink, but it needed a few more washes to come out completely. Since then, I’ve used it only to put streaks of color in my hair. That works better, although it still comes off on my pillowcases.

The package says for accents only, I should have taken that seriously. I was dressing up as Black Widow in End Game- blonde with red roots growing out. It looked AMAZING! The problem was cleaning up afterwards. It took an hour of scrubbing, tons of shampoo and a bottle of conditioner to get it out. Also it made a mess in my bathroom. But it was worth it! If you make the mistake I did and cover your entire scalp: start with tons of cheap conditioner to detangle (I used most of a bottle!) Then shampoo like crazy. Finish with deep conditioner.

Yes, I understand... this is a semi permanent product. I've used a ton of these for Halloween costumes before but wanted to splurge on a brand name. I have blonde hair on half of my head and bought the colour RED. I knew it would rub off on my clothing but I didn't know that that would linger after washing hair 3+ times. It stained my blonde hair PINK, ok I can deal with that... but it STILL BLEEDS ONTO EVERYTHING MY HAIR TOUCHES. My back is dyed pink... if you touch it, your hand is now dyed pink. There is absolutely no hold to this product. I've never seen anything like it. Definitely gave me a colour but I will never ever ever EVER for as long as I shall live use this product again. it was a hairspray so my hair was crunchy too after putting on. So much mess, an UNBELIEVABLE AMOUNT OF MESS! Sitting here after my 3rd wash (washing it three separate times within the last 24 hours and also three times during this one singular shower with clarifying shampoo. It won't stop bleeding. I would just rather it dye me and stop transferring. I'm so mad lol. If you have blonde hair I would recommend skipping any of these coloured products because they will dye your hair and scalp. I used this to dye my daughter’s hair red like Ariel for our Disney vacation. Goes on like dry shampoo very easily but transfers onto everything. Her car seat, our stroller, her clothes, my shirt all had red dye by the end of the day. Washed her hair 4x when we got home and took her swimming. It didn’t come out for a week despite swimming and washing daily. Her pillowcases and sheets are ruined. Dont recommend

Bought it to color my sons mohawk, which worked great considering it isn’t touched much. If he touched it even a little bit, the color transfer was awful—his whole hands or anything his hair touched would turn red, though it washes off most things pretty easily (we managed not to get it on clothing, but did get some on our couch but it washed out just fine with dish soap). Application is easy though it splatters a bit. It doesn’t go on entirely even but color is very vibrant and is easy to layer/touch up. Washes out very easily with shampoo but ever-so-slightly stains the scalp for an extra wash or two. Overall, would recommend for a mohawk or part of an updo that won’t be touched or touch anything. Would not recommend for long hair or for a child who can’t follow direction enough to not transfer the color. Would only use if going to shower at the end of the day/event.

I'm surprised this product has so many good reviews. I mean, it does its job. I wanted red hair for Halloween but I didn't want to wear a wig. But I found the application difficult as the spray is very pinpointed and does such a small area. I didn't think about wearing gloves since it said it washes out easy. It was wrong. I've washed my hands several times today, they're still red. My face is also red. So is my shirt, my notepad, my coffee cup, and the phone I use at work. Everything is red! My hair brush is also ruined as I made the bad decision to brush it with my favourite brush, I guess that one's on me. I haven't tried washing it out yet, but I've spent all day looking forward to having a 2 hour shower to get all the red off me.
