Inks hues gallore!
It's been barely a few months since I discovered the Pilot Iroshizuku inks. I've become an instant-fanatic. I have one that sparkles like a fiery burnt-orange sunset, another ink almost tastes like rapsberries, and a tender green ink that reminds me of shiny and new leaves of grass. These inks are adorably packed and extremely diverse as to hue (Pilot has produced around 15 different blues...). I have bought a few of these inks and what I like best is that, because the hues are not exactly "colors", I have had the chance to really look at the ink hues in nature. This is not like picking a color from a color chart, but more like discovering the consonance and weird connection between nature and its everchanging richness that fills our eyes with a new way of seeing. Don't look for a red or a blue or a green. This is not quite like plain chemistry but more like nature's unstoppable diversity. These inks are awesome!

Worth its premium price
It's an excellent purplish color. It's not too dark, nor is it too light. It runs on the wet side, but you need a wet pen for it to be its best. If your pen is too dry, as my medium Safari nib was, it comes out as too washed out and disappointing. After I flossed my tines and opened them up to where they should have been, the ink demonstrated its true potential. It looking its best when the pen really lays it down can be said for all Iroshizuku inks, though, so that's not unique to this particular color. It doesn't have any water resistance, it has a little bit of shading if your pen runs wet, and it has no sheen. Alongside the blues, it's an Iroshizuku color that all fountain pen enthusiasts should at least sample, if not buy an entire bottle. Fill up a Pilot Custom with it and never look back!

Beautiful, flowing ink.
I inherited my father's Mont Blanc pen and rediscovered the joys of writing. While looking through a forum on fountain pens, I ran into a thread concerning different inks. This one sounded interesting - purple ink! - and ordered a bottle. It is a beautiful deep amethyst. Nothing plummy or grape-like about it. It flows through the pen's nib very well and is, all told, a complete joy. It is too soon to see whether this will fade like other inks, but I found nothing on the boards that made me think it was. This maker has a great many really beautiful colors. There is a deep gold and a magenta. Very tempting...

Clear and Basic
I think I've ordered four of these bottles already. I love them!

Excellent ink flow
I like the color! It flows so nicely onto the page. I'm using it in a basic Lamy Safari (Vista, clear) Medium nib with a twist piston converter, sucking up ink through the nib itself when I load it

Great ink
Bottle came intact, someone smart at the Amazon distribution center packed in a smallish box with plenty of packing paper. Ink is good- nice and lubricated for my fountain pens. I first used in a Kaküno <F> which was ok, ink came out dark but it really shined when I put the in a Platinum Shooting Star/Little Meteor <F>. Ink is much lighter and more suitable to my liking. I can’t figure out how I got such a smooth nib on such a cheap Platinum fountain pen, but I suspect this ink has a lot to do with it. Another thing to note is that this ink feathered quite a bit in my Kaküno on Kokuyo Campus Sarasara paper, but not at all in my Platinum on same exact paper. So if you’re not happy with the ink, try in a different fountain pen. I will have this bottle for quite some time as the milliliters are a generous amount. I got a great deal on this ink from the seller Fuji and am quite satisfied.

Beautiful ink
It's almost impossible to describe the colour of Murasaki-Shikibu. On cream Tomoe River paper, and with a series of medium nibs, I found the colour less complex than other Iroshizuku inks, and with less of a sheen. It quickly dried to a pure and pale purple. It is not highly saturated, but intense enough for highly legible handwriting. I would place it among my favorite half dozen inks from the Iro range.

Ottimo Inchiostro
Consigliatissimo !!

A truly wonderful ink, highly recommended if one is looking for purple.
Lets get problem out first, this ink is not water proof though manages to be water resistant to some extent, which came as a pleasant surprise, yet don't expect to survive a rain. Now good parts- Colour, simply put loved it. The best purple hands down bright and deep at same time. Flow is great and no bleeding or feathering seen on any papers I tested (mostly A4 and normal register, I consider classmate and others as good papers for fountain so one can understand what I test inks on). Very easy to clean the ink and comes in a very nice looking glass bottle. Worth the money considering ink bottles last so long and recommended if looking for a purple ink.
