Great for our Maine Coons
UPDATE: 3/20/25 - our Bravmini is still going strong. I use it often to get little tangles that I can't easily get out with a comb (don't want to hurt my Coons with tugging). Sometimes I have to buzz a bigger area where mats got bigger and it cuts right through them easily and quickly. You have to cut the hair at the right angle for the clipper to work so if it doesn't seem to be cutting for you, try from another direction. The main thing with this one for me is that it's nice and small and it's not very noisy. My Maine Coons don't mind it one bit. They'll lay there and let me clip away.I find that the charge really lasts. I can't say exactly how long but I rarely need to charge it. I have no complaints about the battery life.Funny thing, my husband took it last night to shave his neck and he really liked it! So I'm here to order another one for him (more sanitary if he has his own). He has had various electric razors for men, most are rotary I think, and never was impressed with any of them. But he likes the animal one! Haha!Seriously, this has been a great clipper for our cats. Maine Coons IMO are higher maintenance as far as grooming and clipping and this small, lightweight clipper makes that work much faster and easier for me. I keep it out on the bathroom counter all the time so that I can pick it up and use it in an instant. For me, this was a worthwhile purchase.*********************************************************************************************ORIGINAL REVIEW:We have an Andis from years ago (I don't know how it rates with other Andis models) and a Wahl clipper for people. We have two Maine Coons and even when I groom them regularly they can get mats in their fur. If I let more time go by a mat can really get stubborn. In that case, I just want to cut it out instead of trying to comb it. It's faster and it's gentler on the cat.Our Andis wasn't cutting well (maybe need to replace blades) so I tired using the Wahl and it was much better than the Andis had ever been so I've been using it on the Coons however, it's pretty loud and when the Coons see my get it out, they run! I started looking at the Wahls for animals and decided on this one, the WAHL Professional Animal Bravmini+. I wanted another model but didn't want to spend that much and was concerned that I'd be disappointed with my choice. Nope, I'm not!The Bravmini+ arrived today and right out of the box it was ready to roll. I set up the charging station and then showed the clipper to one of the Maine Coons. He gave it a good sniffing, then I turned it on. Not much of a reaction from him. I'm guessing that is because it's not real loud but also, I think the cord on the other ones was a big deal to them. Also, the size of this mini isn't intimidating. So, I held my boy gently, showed him the clipper, turned it on and removed a couple mats from his hip. He just laid there. I got another one near his front leg and then adjusted him so that I could lift his head back and zipped off a couple knots on his neck. That is one area where they both get bad mats, there and in their long manes. It was so fast and easy using this mini and when I was done the Coon didn't run away, he just sat up and looked at me.I really think this is a great little clipper to use with our Maine Coons, and I think it will work for sanitary trims too. It's not real loud, sharp, feels good in the hand, and it's cordless. All big pluses. I feel like this was money well spent. And I like the berry/purple color but of course that doesn't matter to the functionality. I can't speak yet to the battery life because just arrived but I used it right out of the box and didn't have a power problem. Now it's on the dock getting a full charge so that I can introduce the bigger of our two Coons to it. If you're considering this model, you should give it a try. You can always return it but I think that unless it isn't suited to your needs you'll really like using it.

That the shaver is so quite and effective
The thing I love most is how incredibly quiet they are. My dog isn't frightened by the sound at all. In fact, she seems to enjoy being groomed and almost treats it like a relaxing massage. That alone makes grooming so much easier and less stressful. The clippers are lightweight, comfortable to hold, and cut beautifully. My Powderpuff has a thick, fluffy coat that needs regular trimming, and these clippers handle it with ease. They've been reliable, well-made, and have held up to years of frequent use. While I can't say how they'd perform on a very large, heavy-coated dog, they're absolutely perfect for small dogs. If you want high-quality, quiet clippers that are gentle on your pet and easy to use, I highly recommend Wahl. I wouldn't hesitate to buy them again and I already have!

Nice and light/No blades compatible
I love this clipper nice and quite good for face, butt, and feet on my dogs! This works better on her face than my K10. Go figure! The only downside is I can't find replacement blades for the Bravmini.Update: The blade was excellent for about 5 trims than the blade quit trimming. I really liked the clipper, I looked all over to replace the blade which is very hard to find none that fit the clipper. I called wahl and they sent me a replacement blade but it wasn't the same as the original, the blade kept falling off the clipper. I returned the blade. Unfortunately, I can't use this clipper. They do not have replacement blades for this clipper. Please check for compatibility before you purchase this clipper.

Awesome!
This little thing is great! It's easy to use, even for those of us who are not professional groomers. It's not super loud, easy to handle, easy to grip.My only minor complaint is that you have to use the base to charge it. It would have been great if you could charge it by just connecting it to a charging cable without a base. A base is convenient if you have a dedicated space/area just for grooming, but I dont have that kind of space in the condo. I keep this trimmer and all its accessories in the box and just pull it out as needed. So for people like me, charging it like you would a cellphone (no base) would be easier. But thats just a minor thing. The trimmer itself works great, battery life seems pretty good so far. I've used it 3 times now just for my shih tzu's paws, belly, and sanitary area but havent needed to charge it yet.So far, so good!

Great clipper, doesn't seem made to last
love this clipper. It's small, lightweight, rechargable (no cords), and not too loud. Perfect for clipping the fur on faces, around feet, hygeinic areas. However, I've had 3 now, and they tend to only last about a year or two!

LOT OF GROOM FOR NOT A LOT OF $$$
Have 3 dogs w/very fast growing, thick coats so I try to manage touch ups & simple trimming "in between" regular grooming appts. This little Wahl performs beautifully - can finish all 3 furbabes w/o having to stop & recharge, nor does it become uncomfortably warm. The small head makes trimming faces, sanitary areas & especially their little bitty footpads so easy and drama-free!Was surprised at being able to run a cordless (so much easier for this amateur!) unit for 60 continuous minutes w/o any overheating or stopping to recharge. Its pretty quiet compared to others Ive used so my dogs tolerate it very well.Am a long way from being a professional but it definately satisfies my expectations!! And those of my babes :•)

Great Clipper
This is an absolutely wonderful professional clipper and I use it for my hair not a dog.

Terrible blade quality
After using a cheaper generic version of this clipper I was excited to upgrade. Completely disappointed. They will barely cut. The blade has to be extremely cleaned and oiled or it jams and stops cutting. Since I only pull this mini clippers out for super tight mats behind ears on scared dogs, matted armpits on tiny elderly thin skinned dogs, and mostly for scoping intense eye gunk that's so bad it was won't come off in the bath. This clipper will not cut it for eye gunk. A tiny bit of moisture or build up will render the blade useless. Can't even make it half way through one eye before needing to clean blade. Even my cheap $30 throw away mini clipper easily handled these jobs. Which is a bummer. And I don't feel good about forking out another $30 for a new replacement blade just incase my blade is defective out of the box. Especially since I have found other reviews online with the same issue. These are worthless for a professional grooming stand point.
