Rooster Washed Cotton Newsboy Gatsby Ivy Cap Golf Cabbie Driving Hat

The hat wasn't bad, but the XL size was larger than I expected ( I have a large head). The fabric has a bit of a "worn" look to it, that some people might not like, but I didn't mind it. I tried to exchange for a smaller size (L) and realized that I had to pay a lot for the return shipping and that turned me off, so I simply returned it.***Update*** I returned the hat and the seller refused to give me a refund because I didn't have a tracking number, which would have cost me more money to add to the return that I had to pay for. Basically, I lost $45 buying from Rooster. Beware!

I got the khaki one a couple of years ago. It's my favorite hat! I wanted a black one and boy was I shocked at the drop in quality. Everything about this hat was cheaper and more flimsy. It felt like a cheap Halloween hat. On top of that, I ordered an XL. The package said XL, but the label in the hat said XXL. It was definitely an XXL, because it was way too big on me. Back it goes, and I'm now off the Rooster bandwagon. Damn, I'm bummed about this. Oh, and I checked my old Amazon order, and I even got my other hat from the SAME supplier. Color me disappointed.

I collect newsboy caps. This is one of my most favorite . I take a med. size 7 - 71/8 , 56 - 57 cm. The cap fits good , not loose or tight. It gives a full but not baggy look almost reduced profile , I like that I get my whole head inside the crown so it does not sit on top of the head but my head is conferable inside . I would have liked the crown be sewed onto the the bill , but it gives that look without the sewing , I like the bill is hard and can be shaped , I am ordering another color. jimflutes

Fits great, but just be warned, it is hot. Without the lining you will still sweat pretty good. It is very difficult to find a good cap in my size, so i wasn't expecting much. But now that it has arrived, and fits, i wish it would have had more colors in that size. Don't rush into a purchase of one of these hats, expecting something nice and cool for summer temps around 80. If you don't mind the heat, then this hat is perfect for you. I've been a fan of these hats for most of my life, but unable to wear one. I used to own a kangol, which is an expensive brand, it was thin mesh; so it was great for super hot days. But they are very hard to care for. 5 panel gatsby style caps have always been more impressive, then the modern style flatcaps.

This is my seventh purchase from Rooster Headwear. If I find a vendor that consistently provides a high quality product I will continually purchase from them. I've purchased hats from other hat vendors and have returned each one. I've found hats from other vendors just do not look and fit as well as a Rooster Hat, I've returned each one. Every hat I've purchased has looked fantastic and it fits like a glove. The previous six hats I've purchased were winter hats, this is the first hat that is summer weight.I live in the south and wear hats all the time. I've always worn a baseball cap, just about all my life. I'm 64 now and I'm tired of wearing baseball caps. This is definitely a step up from a baseball hat. Everyone tells me that these types of hats looks so much better on me than a baseball cap. It's starting to get hot here and these caps could not have come available at a better time.Great features of this hat:-It's priced right, this is a high quality hat for $29, I purchased the olive color and plan on purchasing the navy color next month.-It looks fantastic when worn. Unlike a baseball cap, if these caps are not made properly they do not look right on your head. This hat looks fantastic when worn, It's one of the best looking hats I own. It just looks great when worn, it's obvious that the vendor takes pride in his product.-It's a summer hat meant to be worn in hot climates, it is not lined for that reason. It's a cooler hat because it doesn't have the lining.-My hat size is 7 3/8 - 7 1/2. The XL is a perfect fit for me. It is sized exactly right.As you can tell I'm completely satisfied with this purchase. This is a great hat at a great price.Jim Garrison

This hat was bought to round out a costume for an event at our golf course. He received many compliments. The hat is well made, came well packaged, on time and it fit perfectly! In fact, I can barely remember his hair color as he loves the hat so much he wears it now instead of the baseball cap.

If it had 1/3 of the price it would have been a fair value but not for current price. Product was over priced and poor quality.

This is a very well made and stylish hat. I got it mainly for an upcoming trip to Scotland/Ireland and didn't want to look too American in a baseball cap. I'm typically at the low end of an XL size but in this hat it's somewhat large. However, I don't like a snug fit and this certainly isn't. Since it's for summer use, it shouldn't be a problem since it will be warmer and my head will likely swell a bit.
