For years I used Yupo paper for my ink work. After trying the Nara I was sold. Most inks wipe right off with alcohol. I did find that orange ink did leave a yellow stain but most of it comes out after several alcohol scrubbing. The Nara stains far less than the Yupo. I also found it helpful to alcohol scrub it several times before using. I think you will be very happy with the Nara Paper.

I had high hopes. A few months back I ordered some smaller precut rectangular sizes. Those were great with the exception of poor packaging (sent in a paper envelope) and almost all of them had creases. Only I piece was crease free. But I was impressed that they were incredibly stain free if you wipe all of the alcohol ink off. That’s where the paper excels. So I decided to buy a roll. Again the packaging is problematic. It’s bound so tight that you have to use scissors or a razor to very carefully cut through the tape and paper. It’s a real hassle. Second, one end just looked dirty. It was a little gross. The paper itself was taped to the roll to keep it all in place but the problem is that when I took off the tape it lifted/separated part of the paper so immediately I lost about 6-7in of paper. There’s some small creases and imperfections here and there throughout the roll. Overall I think it’s too much money for any imperfections. If you work in small sizes you might be okay but for larger pieces I’d recommend going with Yupo
