The first one (similar) was by Linda Evans, a full face (very heavy plastic mask with electrodes), one of the very first for home use. It was cumbersome, but it did work and sold me on the idea that if you are diligent, you will get results. About about 6 years later, I bought the Dermawand, which also worked but required constant use to work because the tip is much smaller therefore, it took longer to cover more facial surface. I purchased my first wand of this type (Basic D'Arsenval unit), because I dropped my trusty Dermawand on the tile floor in my bathroom and broke it. I was happy that happened because the lift wand I replaced it with was light years better.While searching for the D'Arsencal wand for others, I stumbled across the 'LIFT WAND." I noticed it carried a 220v instead of the 110v like my previous ones, so having been at the top level of use on my (then) current wand for years, I thought 'more has to be better,' I was correct, it is. This particular wand is EXCELLENT. If I had known it existed earlier, I would have gone straight to it. The smoothness of the glass is wonderful against your skin, it is definitely more powerful - I can't even use it on the higher level, and you don't need to because it does a better job on lower settings.This wand is more expensive, but it is worth every dime, the construction is hefty and you feel safe using it. There are many attachments you can purchase as options for it. Let me give you a 'rule of thumb' to help you determine if you have been using it long enough to see results. If you don't begin to CRAVE using it (like I do, because eventually it becomes a spa-like experience, then you haven't used it long enough,lol, because that is what happens). The results you will get are remarkable: fine lines and wrinkles will disappear, your face will lift & feel tighter. It will begin to glow lilke it did in your youth, you won't need to wear ANY makeup, and people you don't know will walk right up to you to ask what you use on your skin, like they do me. If it does not work for you, you haven't used it long enough, period, and let me add here, that you don't have to use it that long to notice results. How do I know? I know because people always believe I am half my age and want to know what I use, so I tell them and they order one. I've done that countless times, now even men want to know what I use because I don't look 'half my age.' The bottom line is, there are SO many products out there, alot of people skip from one thing to another and end up hurting their skin instead of helping it. Buy THIS wand. I don't even use the Argon oil with it. The fact is, you can use ANY good serum with it, because it's more about the delivery with the wand than it is about the product to use with it, but definitely use a good serum or even the Argon, just don't use it without something to conduct the current., use it without fail for AT LEAST 15-20 minutes a day (ok to skip if you need to once you get into a system, but do not go weeks without using it), consistency is the key, and pretty soon, people will be stopping you too to ask what you use. A month in of daily use and the difference is simply and truly amazing. My only regret is that I did not start sooner. In combo with micro needling - I seriously look a few years younger already. Skin is tighter, brighter and deep lines are starting to fade. SUPER STOKED!I also get those occasional monthly break outs on my chin and the Lift wand seems to stop pimples in their tracks. I was really skeptical about this product even though it had good reviews. I buy a lot of products and have zero issues with sending things back when they don't live up to the hype or expectation. But this one does - so far. I've been using the wand for just shy of a month and I can definitely see a difference under my eyes. I was pleasantly surprised. I'm hoping to see improvement in the lower part of my face as well. But honestly even if I just had he improvement with the lines under my eyes I'd be happy. I don't have dark circles or bags so can't speak to that but I do have fine lines that are diminishing. Really happy so far. You totally get used to the buzzing and little zap feeling - at least I did.
