Columbia Women's Crestwood, Low Rise Trekking and Hiking Shoes

Having always had Merrell walking shoes in the past, I started struggling with pain in my big toe joint/small bunion. I was trying to find something with a wide-ish toe box that also suited my flat, skinny feet & ankles. These fit the bill! Nice and solid, structured enough to handle uneven and rocky terrain but not so stiff it hurts. They aren't waterproof which is a shame but I knew that when I bought them so it's not a negative. The arch support is low which really suits me. I've walked a good number of miles in them now over a few months, they've been to the lake district, dartmoor, and most recently to the coast of Italy where the terrain was very steep, dry & rocky. On a few occasions my foot slipped on sharp gravelly rocks and I thought for sure i'd have ripped them or put a hole in them but they still look as new.I'd definitely recommend them for summer/dry hiking! Will be trying out some more Columbia shoes/boots soon i'm sure!

These shoes are the most comfortable walking shoes I have bought. Good support and they are waterproof too. Would thoroughly recommend them.

Love these trainers. So strong and comfy!Perfect for long walks.Planning to take them for hiking, but they are so versatile that I will probably take them shopping too.

Love Columbia shoes. So comfy straight out of the box. I usually vary from Size 4 to 5 depends on what type of footwear. With Walking boots I normally go up a whole size for thick socks. The last pair of Columbia trainers I bought were in size 5 and they fitted well with insoles. I saw that some people said they these were a little wider so I just went up half a size to 4.5. These fitted perfectly. So I would say only go up 1/2 a size for socks.Nice colour, grey and turquoise and can wear them all day like slippers.

I do a 6 km daily brisk walk over multiple surfaces: asphalt, dirt, gravel, and forest trails involving rocks & tree roots, and in the winter over packed snow and ice (with crampons). When my old favourite hiking shoes fell apart and---gasp---were no longer available, I ordered these Columbia Crestwood shoes instead. They're excellent...I couldn't be happier. They're sturdy, well-made, and excellent quality. After six months of daily use, they're still looking great and going strong...they're going to last me a loooong time.They fit my average size/shape feet perfectly, and were comfortable from day one---no breaking-in period needed. Excellent support---they keep my feet securely positioned in the shoe with no sliding around, which means I can confidently maneuver over roots and uneven rocks knowing I'm not going to roll over on my ankle. They're also nice and 'grippy'...I've only ever slipped on bare ice, where any other shoe would have, too; only crampons work on ice.I'm so pleased with these shoes that I ordered a second pair to have on hand in case they're no longer available when the first pair wears out. Highly recommend.
