I wouldn't go bungie jumping with it, but the two times I've used it this year. It only stretched 4 feet or roughly 20 percent from pulling a 5000 pound vehicle with a 7000 pound vehicle. If my math is correct with the weight resistance in my synario, 5000 pounds or gvwr x .15 "rolling soft" plus gvwr x 1.5 "body mire" plus gvwr x .25 "roughly 15 percent grade" equals 9,500 pounds. It will stretch ~20% at 9500 pounds, and ~37 percent or 15100 pounds is the max. So in short. It's a great deal for anything less then a 6000 pound vehicle. If you go over 5ft of stretching or ~7000 pounds I would recommend a bigger rope. Hope this helps.
