I couldn't turn the pages fast enough.Rabid is one hot guy. He fights hard, but loves harder. He helped rescue Christa, when she was taken hostage from a home that she was tutoring at. Something about her made him reconsider his man-whoring ways.Christa is a sweet but strong woman. She's been sliced and kidnapped on more than one occasion. She tutors kids to get by just to have her money taken away from her by a corrupt VP, from a loan she got to run her own bar.When Christa is rescued from being held hostage and having her face sliced up, Rabid can't stop going and checking on her. He feels the need to protect her. Christa is attracted to Rabid, but she can't allow herself to be indebted to someone else.Before the two of them know it, they find that they need each other more than anything.I would definitely recommended this book to anyone who can stand a strong alpha man, and a determined woman who finally allows herself to trust again.There are some steamy scenes, so if you can't handle dirty talk, or some violence, then you probably shouldn't read this. I know I say that a lot about Nicole Snow's books, but really, she has this incredible knack of taking a perfectly reprehensible train wreck of a man and turning him into a scarily desirable, absolutely hard-headed loyal protector. Rabid is the club clown, drinks too much, has too much sex, and never knows when to keep his mouth shut. Since all the betrayals and the cleaning up of the Grizzlies MC began, Rabid has been "babysitting" Christa. She was unwitting collateral damage in a feud that started in the first book in the series (read that one first). Horribly scarred during her time in captivity Christa wants nothing to do with the local chapter of the Grizzlies MC. Especially given her current financial situation, growing up with a biker for a father didn't teach her anything that helped her when she was young and ambitious. As soon as Rabid gets wind of her secret, that's when the fun and craziness begin. Think a biker doesn't love unconditionally?
