This is a powered antenna
I gave this headline because, in the end, this is what made me return this antenna. In my location of north San Diego county, the transmitters are not far, but not in the line of sight. Too hilly. So previously, I combined 2 older antennas in the attic and pointed them to the 2 main transmitters with decent, but not perfect results. I thought I'd try this new omnidirectional antenna to see if I got better results with just 1 antenna outside. It looks decent enough for our suburbia neighborhood.By itself, it worked well with the 15 mile transmitter, but would not reach the one at 32 miles. So I thought I'd combine it with one of the other older antennas and then it would be great. However, there was no combination of antennas or amplifiers that would allow this antenna to work AT ALL. That's right, 0 signal, black screen. This antenna only works with itself, and in San Diego county will not reach 32 miles. So I put my older system back on line for now. Probably mount the older ones outside next.FYI: I am an experienced engineer that has worked with electronics for a long time.

It does what it says that it does.
I got this 360 degree antenna because I have an nbc station placed opposite of all my other stations towers so a patch antenna wasnāt getting the job done. It was easy to install on a cross beam in the attic with the included booster onto the existing cable lines. I didnāt have an electric plug in the attic so had to run the booster power wire from an inside upstairs outlet into the attic to power the signal down the existing cable lines to the TVs. Itās rated at 65 miles and I pick up a station right at 62 miles away (just so happens to be the one opposite all of the other towers). Any bad weather and that station goes out first. Extreme weather causes some more stations go out. Iāve contemplated moving it to an eve outside to see if I can get better reception but really donāt want the headache. Overall it does what it says it does so I am happy. As a side note, the splitter used by the cable company was impairing the signal down the 60ft lines to the televisions. I had to replace it with a better quality one and use the booster to get signals to the tvās.

Good Antenna
I installed 3 of these at a motel 2 years ago and it got 38 channels and good reception. Even in bad weather(snow storms etc.) it still received all the channels with no problems. This is why I purchased one for myself. The only reason I am giving it a 4 and not a 5 star is because the coax cable was missing.

Not Quite as advertised
I had to go through two of these units only to find out that the cable from the first one turned out to be bad. I live in an area of Southern Illinois where the furthest stations are sitting at 37 miles away so a 65 mile antennae shouldn't be a challenge. What I found with two of these units was that I could get solid reception from transmitters that were under 20 miles and extremely sketchy reception on anything over that. The unit is well made and easy to install but installing it well above roof level 25 feet off the ground couldn't even pull in stations that I feel it should have done better on. Of course, location and installation is everything so you may just have to try it to find out if it will work well for you in a rural area where the stations are spread out in all directions.

Perfect Little Antenna! Winner, Winner, Chicken Dinneršš
The media could not be loaded. Ā Pictured is our old Radio Shack antenna purchased in the 80ās... Itās been a gem! After much researching, found the Omni Directional Antenna would save us turning the antenna to receive certain stations. Yes, it works! This is a great little antenna! Packaged well, no damages and received promptly. My husband attached this to our old pole outside, not indoors! We live approximately 50-80+ miles from TV stations. After running scan we received 30+ stations. Some are duplicates from other larger cities but thatās Ok. All are crystal clear! Especially love the old Movie station and Antenna TV station, shows oldies but goodies. A newer station has recently been added called Circle TV, country music!Iāve attempted to add video to show stations and picture quality.

Good product.
Good product. Have bought many for customers. Other than the demand driving price to nearly double since my first purchase, these work great. Most channels I have scanned in so far is 107. Yes some are duplicates from other simulcast towers in other counties. I am basically flat land in Central FL. Your scan may vary by terrain

Doesn't work in noisy locations
This won't work if you're dealing with lots of multipath reflections. You're better off with a directional antenna instead.

More channels
Living in the country away from any major city where there are limitations of services the antenna increase the number of channels we could receive
