Adds texture and flavor to my cooked oatmeal!
Give it a try! I add about a half cup to my cooked oatmeal for texture and flavor.

Amazing Buckwheat!
Arrived in perfect condition. It is a delicious product, just like it is in Russia. We love to cook it.

For those who care what to eat
This is a delicious and healthy food for those who do not eat fatty/sweet fastfood. These are not flakes made from flour, they are rolled buckwheat grains. Preheat the milk, add these flakes and cook/wait for 5 minutes. Salt, sugar to taste. The flakes should float in a small amount of milk , not a thick consistency. Recommend!

Nutrition information incorrect!
I purchased this because the their photo posted says it has 140 cal for one cup and as you can see by the photo I posted is 1/3 cup, which makes a huge difference! I will not be eating these!

Before everything was fine now problems with packaging
Great product overall, tasty and easy to make. However, I have been having issues with recent deliveries where the boxes arrive open or smashed in the paper Amazon envelope and all contents are spilled.

Good gluten-free alternative to farina or oatmeal
These buckwheat flakes can be hard to find stocked on grocery store shelves. I am allergic to oats and eat a gluten-free diet. I ordered a box of 6 of these buckwheat flakes. All intact and expiration dates several months away. Very easy to make hot porridge with these flakes. I follow basic recipe, then vary flavoring and add-ins. Especially good on cold winter days.

Favorite food
All the negative feedback is for the lack of knowledge on how to prepare and consume. “Flakes” don’t mean “eat raw out of the box”. Add cold water 2:1 and leave for a couple hours to preserve vitamins until water absorbs. If in a hurry, add boiling water instead and microwave for a few minutes. With a pinch of salt and some corn oil or sunflower oil it is a tasty and healthy side dish. With a little sugar, salt and cold milk (after it was cooked as above) it is a breakfast that even picky kids like. Another traditional recipe is to add a smashed hard boiled egg (warning for very literal people: remove the eggshell first!), oil, salt, French fried onions and canned beets. If you educate yourself, it is a great gluten-free product.

These are delicious
I think about a quarter cup for a serving would be about right, as they swell quickly to about 4 times their size. They remind me a lot of grape nuts, but not as crunchy after a few minutes in milk. I added raisins, but think next time I will try some basil seeds with it. I still do think they are expensive, but what a grat alternative to wheat, which I am allergic to.

Not buckwheat flakes
These are not flakes . The product is cut groats that are hard and do not cook like flakes . The add showed cookies similar to oatmeal cookies , however the cut groats remain hard . The product will only be good for hot cereal . I have bought buckwheat flakes which look like oatmeal this product is not the same. The problem is translation please remove the word flakes . It is a cut groat that requires boiling to eat it cannot be used in baking. See picture below. Buckwheat flakes on the left . This product on the right. requires
