This was a birthday present, my friend really liked it

This book is well-done and has every song from the movie and the stage version in it. It has the vocal part on top and the piano part beneath it. The melody stays on top of the piano part, so you can use it as a piano solo. The level of difficulty is pretty high. Most songs would range in the advanced intermediate to early advanced range. Unless you are an advanced player, you are not just going to sight read through more than one or two of the songs.

Everything about it is perfect. The story, the acting, the music, the dancing. Hollywood is utterly corrupt, decadent and without vision or integrity anymore... but this wasn't always so. Enjoy one of the high spots of the epicenter of film before the fall.

Excellent for intermediate players

This is an excellent book for the advanced piano player. Definitely not a beginner's book. It is challenging and well arranged for the piano.

Great, memorable songs from the first musical I ever saw! Nicely arranged so it's not too difficult to play--but without losing it's original character. The only criticism I have is the "Wedding Processional" sounds different from the original one I remember from the movie soundtrack (which I've seen at least 30 times). Nevertheless, the songs are enjoyable to play and listen to, especially "The Sound of Music", "Something Good", "Climb Ev'ry Mountain", "I Have Confidence" and "Edelweiss", just to name a few...

This collection has more selections than the original book I bought years ago.

Ce film (La mélodie du bonheur) a été un tel succès mondial depuis des décennies que l'on trouve un peu tout et n'importe quoi comme partitions à son sujet, y compris parfois des partitions d'une seule chanson alors que l'on croit acheter le tout... Cette partition est réellement complète : 13 chansons, 80 pages, chaque chanson est écrite pour piano (clé de sol + clé de fa) + chant (clé de sol). C'est un vrai plaisir d'essayer de jouer "The sound of music" au piano... Pour vous donner une idée, voici une vidéo qui montre vraiment ce que cela donne : tapez "The Sound of Music Piano Tutorial at Tempo" dans youtube, et vous verrez... J'ai commandé cette partition à un vendeur en Angleterre, et l'envoi n'a pas été trop lent.

ヤマハが出してる高い緑色のやつ(ISBN-10 : 4636851994)も買ったけど、よほどのマニアでなければこっちがお勧めです。 試し読みの画像（すごく親切）で判るとおり、改訂版(1981/1/1)では、ボーカルとピアノ伴奏の他にギターのタブ譜も載ってます。映画用に追加された２曲も入ってます。英語だけど解説も充実。

Original music score to a good standard, probably suitable for grade 4+ level, not too difficult. Packed with all the music from the film
