Bare Escentuals Bounce & Blur Eyeshadow Palette Dawn for Women, 0.21 Oz

I actually got this for my mom, who is in her 60s, but then opened it and felt like it was too shimmery for her preferences. In the pan the shimmer is really noticeable and kind of intimidating, because it’s in every color, and I was hoping for a more matte palette for her. The shimmer is less noticeable on skin, but as you can see in the swatches, it’s still there. I really like the formula and colors, just be aware it does have kind of fine, silvery type sparkles throughout each color. See below for helpful information I found.“The formula of the Bounce & Blur Eyeshadow Palettes feels creamy to the touch but they perform like powder shadows. The lighter shades are quite sheer and make for good shadow toppers. I also like them all over the lid for a glossy eye look. Since the shimmer is very fine, they appear glowy vs shimmery on the eyes. They also have blurring properties so they don’t accentuate any texture on the eyes.There are two shades in the Dawn Palette (the coppery red and chocolate shade) that feel the same as the blushes to the touch. They are so creamy and buttery and have more pigment than the rest of the shades.I like to use these with my fingers for easy everyday looks but they also work well with a brush. You can definitely build up the darker shades if you want a more intense look but, with one layer, you get a sheer wash of color.”

This was not what I expected. Although it had a very pretty color pallet, some of them were powder shadow and some were creams. I wasn't expecting that. I thought all of them were going to be powder. The cream shadows became very hard to apply and I ended up using my fingers. I would not recommend this product.

The colors on the pallet are beautiful. By far my favorite blend of eyeshadows so far, from bare minerals. Plum hues are not over dramatic and compliment my eyes well. I will be getting again.
