Kevin's life is inspirational and is proof that God cares for us deeply and keeps his promises. God tells us to draw close to him and He will draw close to us. Kevin's faith is huge and God is clearly very close to Kevin. Our Loving Father also tells us, "Blessed are the sorrowful, for they will be comforted." For every sorrow Kevin has had - and he's had many, so get the tissues ready - God has been there to lift him up and carry him through. So great is Kevin's faith that he has been blessed with many gifts: from his writing, to his large, loving family, to his miraculous healing. But the greatest gift Kevin has received through his faith is his ability to see and feel deeply. Most of us miss how active God is in our lives and how beautiful all the love that surrounds us is. Kevin sees and appreciates all his blessings - loving deeply this life God has given him. Well, up to this point I have already handed out 4 books to people (with more on the way). Something I have never done before. I got the book out of the mailbox by 3:30pm and was finished by 10:00 that night. (Sometime that evening I must of made dinner, because my kids weren't starving!) Anyhow, I laughed, cried, and prayed (in that order) when reading the book. Kevin, in his God-given, talented way of writing, is able to captivate the very heart of his readers. I would strongly recommend this book to all parents, to people who have experienced the death of family or friends, experience infertility, struggling with lonliness, or those suffering from physical or emotional pain. You will find that with faith and God's great grace, it will all be for the Glory of God! Oh-sports enthusiasts, especially baseball, will enjoy it as well. Thank you, Kevin!

A very inspiring book which deepens ones own faith and makes one think further about and reflect upon ways in which one may grow closer to God as they continue forward on their own journey of faith.

Enjoyed the book for the message it intended to convey, and it deepened my belief of our need to connect to our loving God at all times, not only in times of difficulty. The author was a faith-filled man. It was truly a pleasant read, but the author was way too wordy at times. I found I could skip paragraphs and still follow the thread of the writing.

A beautiful book, very inspiring. My grandson gave it to me as a Christmas gift. The author came to his high school where he himself was a studentand spoke to the senior class. As a NICU nurse I often questioned why some of the smallest infants suffer so much. This true story is a Christians answer to suffering in an uplifting account of why hardship exists. We have only to read this book to find hope and understanding in our lives. I'm giving copies to everyone on my Christmas list. Thank you Kevin Wells for writing this book.

Both my husband and I finished this book in one night. It completely pulled me in and compelled me to keep reading. Kevin's story of pain and triumph is well written and truly tangible. I appreciate his honestly and his incredible sense of humor. I laughed and I cried, but most importantly I felt drawn to strengthen my own relationship with God. I thank him for that gift.

A wonderfully inspiring book! What man can endure with God's grace. If you have ever felt sorry for yourself, this is a must read.

Easy to read with a profound message. Excellent book and I recommend it to all people, especially Catholics if today who receive very little spiritual guidance. It is very helpful to hear how a man of today can cope with many Crosses given to him.
