Cool. It’s certified gluten free. But that’s pretty pointless when they use cheap and nasty fillers like meltodextrin. For a recovering coeliac this is really dangerous stuff. Wish I’d noticed before ordering but here we are. Meltodextrin messes with your blood sugar (it’s worse than actual sugar), it impairs healing of the gut lining and actively damages it. It also feeds bad bacteria and increases inflammation. So, yeah…. Nasty stuff to have in a “health supplement” AVOID and go for a brand that cares about its customers. Clearly these folks are just trying to cheap out.

Better value for money

Contains maltodextrin,I ordered without checking the ingredients first.Amazon would not cancel the order the suppliers fault I assume,so purchased another brand minus the maltodextrin.The saffron is in the capsule but no way of taking it and getting the benefits without the nasties.

I've been battling Lyme Tick Disease for 12 months and 12 days, at this writing. I take over 120 different mineral and vitamin and plant-based supplements, to maintain my health this long, with this debilitating disease. Canada has virtually NO plan, doctors, clinics, proper tests, treatments nor follow up for Lyme patients. We're on our own, treating ourselves, with VERY little helpful information, except that which we glean from other longer-lived Lyme sufferers. It is only recently that someone else suffering the same strain of Lyme Disease with the same symptoms put me onto saffron. I'd avoided buying some because I thought it was too expensive and ineffective. I was wrong. After searching all day, one day a few months ago, I found this product, well within my budget, with many good ratings and recommendations, so I thought I'd try it. It lives up to its good recommendations, I must say. I take one capsule every morning with my 10oz lemon water, about 25 mins before I have my breakfast, to start my day. Even if I am facing a busy or stressful day, the saffron relieves any anxiety I might have at that time. My overall mood improves. I did notice that it tempered my appetite somewhat, "killed my cravings" for food that is not so good for me, and I've lost a few pounds as a consequence. Battling the many, varied and often debilitating symptoms of Lyme Disease, as long as I have, can be very exhausting, but I SIMPLY FEEL BETTER, OVERALL, when I take my daily saffron supplement, and it is now one of my "feel-good staples". I liken the effect to taking a dropperful of CBD oil. The "feel good" effect lasts throughout the day, besides. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. QUALITY PRODUCT, AFFORDABLE.

Seems to work well

I’m only one day ONE of taking this but noticeable a truly remarkable shift in my mood around 3-4 hours after my first pill. Really incredible. I was really surprised the response could be this quick but apparently it actually can happen. Looking forward to seeing the long term effects. **** I did 4 stars because the product is not “standardized” which is apparently very important with saffron products. Would be great if it was standardized, as I’m not sure I’ll get the same results on the next pill or bottle as a result of not being standardized. UPDATE: Been taking it for a few days now and have noticed that it is making me extremely tired. So I’ve switched to taking it at night, which is helping a bit. I feel like I’m going to pass out all the time. Hoping my body adjusts cuz this level of fatigue is not normal or manageable to continue functioning. UPDATE #2: Had to completely stop taking it because it makes me so drowsy no matter how little I take, even splitting the cap in half makes me so sleepy all the time.

This does help with mood and well being. I didn't do much for my appetite but really helped my mood. I have only been taking it about a week so maybe in time it will.
