Best basket -- but bracket breaks
I love this basket, but this is my third in a year. I purposefully do not overload it, but these last two occasions I left the basket attached to the walker and was mishandled when I rode Uber. It's my fault for not taking the basket off. But the bracketed hook is too thin and snaps off. If I had welding skills I could fix it as glue hasn't helped.

Not a good solution
This basket is attached to the walker with two sets of hooks which are welded to the basket . It holds a lot and stays steady but the lower hooks stick out from the basket proper, and so make the basket wider than the walker. Mine scratched everything it came in contact with and finally I removed them which wasn't a solution because one of the top hooks gave way and would have needed to be re welded if I had not tossed it. The basket never fit my walker well. I would recommend a basket made of softer which can be attached with straps. Don't know if there is such a thing though. My best all time walker purchase , if you have a Drive walker, is a plastic tray which fits over the handles of the walker very easily and stays absolutely steady and can carry enough to set a table with. It is still fine after a year of use, needs no installation , is not heavy and is as easy as pie to take on and off. I used mine all the time, from setting it for dinner, to carrying tea pots with boiling tea in them, cold drinks etc. it has a cup holder to help keep drinks from spilling. For my money, nothing can beat it, and the surface is smooth. Skip the basket , and buy the tray. It wins hands down, the essential purchase for long or even short term walker use.

Invacare walker basket
My husband got this for me after my knee surgery. We chose this model because, after research, we felt it would be the best "fit" to go with our Invacare folding walker (2 paddle closer mechanism with 2 bar front). We chose this walker because we felt it was quite sturdy. I really like the walker & the basket. The basket "snaps" on/off in moments and is quite secure when on. It meets my needs well except I wish they would make a stable cup holder that could be attached inside the basket. A walker requires two hands so dealing with cups & food is challenging. I put my food in tupperware containers and they fit nicely in the basket but I wasn't albe to find a good solution for the cup problem. When I wanted my items in the basket to be more private (when going out) I just put them in a purse or tote; problem solved.

This wire basket is made to attach to a walker used by people with uncertain balance like myself. I have a standard size walker and the basket fits on it very well and is a good size to carry a variety of things so your hands are free to grip the walker. The basket is sturdily made and will last a long time. It is made to fit on the front of a walker but I find it easier to use and probably safer to attach it so it is in the middle of the walker where you don't have to lean over and stretch to reach things in it. It is just the right size for this purpose and will carry a 15 " laptop computer partially folded up very conveniently plus other stuff. The basket is easily removed from the walker when you need to fold up the walker to carry it in a car.

Good as long as you heed the warnings
This is a good solid basket. It comes on and off with no fuss and is nice and sturdy. I like how it can be placed on the inside or outside of the walker. As others have mentioned, there's a limit to how much you can put inside it before it becomes a safety risk. In fact, there's a warning label on the basket itself saying not to put more than five pounds in it, and it's also mentioned in the instructions. This should be taken seriously as it definitely affects the balance of the walker. The only thing I wish it had was a tray for the bottom so small object can't fall out.

Utilizes greatly!
Every day I have to have certain things quickly available and this basketmakes life so much easier. Like the way its made too. Sometimes I needto carry water bottles or something a little too heavy, so I have securedit with a strong cord with hooks so I can carry heavier items with nodifficulty. Also so little items don't fall out, I have used plastic to line itwith, works perfectly!

At Least it Fits
We had need for a walker for a short time at our house. The hospital provided an Invacare walker, which our insurance would pay for. The Invacare walker has a different front profile from most, so I could not just buy a one-size-fits-most generic basket. This basket fits the Invacare walker fine, but it only comes in the open basket style shown. Knowing what we now know, I'd prefer to be able to use one of those canvas/nylon baskets so small articles don't fall out, and the world doesn't see what is in your basket. But this Invacare basket fits snugly, so we used it.Would not recommend the walker or the basket, for the reasons mentioned. But it works ok. I would not choose this brand if I had to use a walker for a long time.Shipper was fast, and packed it beautifully. The fault is in the walker itself.
