The perfect hobo cook pot
I used this on my Appalachian Trail thru hike and it worked wonderfully. I bent the handle in so I could make a reflectix koozie that fit better. It is the perfect size for cooking ramen, a whole box of mac & cheese, instant mashed potatoes, and a host of other backpacking fare. After 2,200 miles of being banged around in my bag with my cook kit inside and sadly infrequent washings, it still held up great. I would highly recommend this cook pot for a cheap, light weight option. Weight: 3.56oz or 101g My cook set up: Pot: 3.56 oz Relectix Koozie: 0.93oz BRS 3000t stove: 0.89oz REI Mini multiTowel: 0.60oz GSI Scraper: 0.64oz Isobutane 100g fuel: 7.16oz when full Mini bic: 0.40oz TOAKS Titanium Long Handle Spoon with polished bowl: 0.70oz Rubber band to hold it together: 0.05oz Total weight without fuel canister: 7.77oz / 220g Total weight with full fuel canister: 14.93oz / 423g My cooking method to save on fuel was to add all of my ingredients and get the pot up to a boil. Then turn the stove off and place the pot into the koozie and set aside. I would then set up camp. By the time my tent was pitched, mattress inflated, and everything unloaded and set up; my food was ready and still piping hot.

Inexpensive but very useful aluminum mugs for all sorts of things
At this point in time I think I own about 15 of these, that's how much I like them. While not good for drinking hot drinks directly out of-- the aluminum conducts heat directly to the handle-- it's great for boiling water to be used elsewhere, cooking soup, etc. (Just be sure to use a hot mitt of some sort.) I've quite literally used and abused mine for years and they've put up with the abuse. Dispersing wood pellets into a wood stove, slammed onto the table in a game of Liar's Dice, etc. and none of them have bent or deformed (more than how they originally arrived). Note that these are made of bare aluminum and will eventually oxidize with time as they are not anodized to prevent such a thing, and that certain foods/liquids will "etch" them. I threw mine into the dishwasher immediately knowing that this would accelerate the process drastically and after more than four years and who knows how many dishwasher cycles, I rather like the patina that they've developed. However if you want to keep yours looking shiny then you might want to wash yours by hand.

A great deal for 2 dollars, good quality
I went into this purchase knowing it was aluminum and so any durability issues are due to the nature of the material and should not reflect the manufacturer. With regard to the build. I bought this mug out of curiosity just to see what 2 bucks would buy me. I must say the design is solid and well made. Definitly worth it. The handle is stout and attached with two rivets that don't leak ( so far). I love the shape. It is certainly lightweight. Aluminum is soft. This does not appear to be anodized so you need to care for it, which is to say watch the temperature on the stove or fire. Aluminum is not titanium in terms of strength, but that being said, 2 bucks versus the $35+ bucks I've dropped on my titanium cups in the past. I also bought this cup to reduce my environmental waste. I keep it in My EDC backpack and plan to use it at work or if I go to a hotel or something like that. The folding handles and titanium are just a little too over the top for daily use in public for me. I also don't want my titanium cup to get stolen while at work. I like the basic immovable handle it blends in with other mugs. One small issue is that the handle will get hot so if you put hot coffee in it, you will either need to let it cool for a few minutes or use a napkin. That's what you get with all aluminum construction. Not a deal breaker. I recently bought a titanium style cup like this one but I paid a ridiculous amount for it. I just wanted one for comparison. This cup was 2 dollars. If I lose it or it gets stolen, no big deal. As for a camp cup, I could see it. It certainly is light. But I would go easy on it. I'm not an ultralight guy but it would probably be fine with a little TLC. It kind of reminds me of the civil war tin cups the soldiers used. 2 bucks is probably close to1861 prices. 🤔 One final thing. I love the volume. Most other cups are around 12 to14 ounces, too small. This cup holds 700 mls. Glad I took a chace.

One of the best camping mugs
This can make a great cooking pot for hiking. I would recommend making a lid for it by cutting an aluminum pan. It is flexible but not as much as my boy scout pot. While some consider the flexibility of aluminum as a negative, I'm ok with it, as I can bend it back into shape. If you make your own aluminum lid, try to make it fit loose, so it accommodates the bending of the pot. I know some people like to bend the handle to make it smaller; I personally like it the way it is. I primarily use this pot for boiling water and cooking simple camp dishes like ramen noodles, mashed potatoes and pasta. It is excellent for these tasks as it holds enough food for a hungry large man like myself. I especially like that the mug has a large opening; many camping mugs/pots have rather small openings, which makes it less convenient to cook inside them. The large diameter also makes the mug more stable if you cook using a camp fire and need to balance it on the wood or coals. Btw this works great on a camp fire.

Taza de acero inoxidable 👍
I really love this mug. Bought it for camping but I actually use it every day now. It’s super durable, keeps my coffee warm, and doesn’t stain or hold smells. The size is perfect and

lightweight cult classic. Simple.
Purchased this for camping and hiking. Mostly for boiling water. PROS: - lightweight aluminum mine weighs 3.6 oz This is the #1 reason I made this purchase. - Good height/weight ratio (aprox. 4.25" tall and 4.75" wide at the top rim) - ^ this translates to good stability due to wide bottom, and large surface area for heating over various types of camp stoves. - Boils water fast. Faster than a stainless steel pot and faster than a thinner, taller pot - Convenient size: this is a personal preference for me. It holds a bit over a quart, making it very useful for preparing the size beverages and meals that I prefer without filling it up to the very top and risking spills and burns. CONS: - No lid option — A lid really makes this a versatile addition to your camp kit. They are available at various sellers online, but not from Imusa. - the nature of this lightweight aluminum makes it succeptable to dents and dings. Consider this to be adding character, and you can always bend it back a bit f it deforms a little. OTHER: - I was directed to making this purchase based on info gleaned from various hiking forums elevating this simple mug to kind of a cult classic. People have also turned to cheaper grease dispensers. I'll just add my observation here that this mug feels sturdier and probably made out of a heavier gauge aluminum.

Costume accsesory
Cheap thin stamped metal. You can crush it into a ball with your hand. If you need it for a costume its perfect but dont expect to get anything of quality. I cant be to upset because the price is so low but it is what it is.

May unpredictably fail.
Mine leaked through a rivet that attaches the handle to the mug. It held cold water but failed with hot one.
