Note that these are made of bare aluminum and will eventually oxidize with time as they are not anodized to prevent such a thing, and that certain foods/liquids will "etch" them. I threw mine into the dishwasher immediately knowing that this would accelerate the process drastically and after more than four years and who knows how many dishwasher cycles, I rather like the patina that they've developed.
