The book itself is ok - not as good as the first, but still fun. I enjoyed Ms. Macalister taking the tired cliche of Earl trapped by desperate damsel and turning it on its ear. It was lovely to see a hero insisting on love in his marriage...not to mention a heroine who actually grows and matures as the book progresses!The prose is fun as Lady Charlotte bungles the English language attempting to use words which she doesn't understands. Ms. Macalister's style is light and fun: she understands her audience and aims to please.The problem lies within the transfer from paper to Kindle. The scanning for this leaves a great to desire: lines break inexplicably in the middle of the line and there are additional characters scattered about. Plus, the spacing between lines is so uneven that some paragraphs are squished and others are far apart. It's as if someone sloppily scanned the written page, created a PDF and then uploaded that. It's very sloppy and amateurish and, at times, detracts from the reading experience. ### ⭐ Not in my destiny to finish this book *by I***K on February 19, 2012* This book started off where Noble Intentions left off, which I thought might be promising, as the former book had some good moments before it started devolving into total ridiculousness. I quickly realized the problem with Noble Destiny is that it never takes off on its own feet. MacAlister loves the long-winded banter and comebacks between characters -- the humor is forced and tedious after the 3rd or 4th go around between Dare and Batsfoam, and Charlotte's malapropisms are an overdone joke. I got the impression MacAlister had a deadline to meet in getting this book out, and this ended up being a pile of piffle I could no longer suffer through. Still in all MacAlister can write when she puts her mind to it; she just needs to stay focused on her characters and story line. Right now this story is just too silly and rangy to be even half funny or entertaining. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ LOVED IT! *by S*** on September 10, 2012* Okay, now I'm hooked! I enjoyed Nobel Destiny as much, if not more than Noble Intentions! Very, very funny, sweet, charming, and sexy! I have now added Katie to my list of authors who I will read pretty much anything they write! ;o) I really do look forward to reading more.Although Charlotte was a bit conceited in the beginning, I love how she evolved into a formidable woman! And Dare, was just sexy and charming and smart. I liked that he wanted her to love him first before he 'used his manly instrument"! ;o)Very well written, fun, engaging and exciting!
