I loved this book. I bought 8 more to give to some friends at church I think this will be a helpful book for all.

THIS BOOK EXPLAINS THE ENTIRE "LONG" VERSION OF THE SERENITY PRAYER, LINE BY LINE. I AM GLAD TO HAVE LEARNED THE ORIGINAL MEANING OF THIS PRAYER, AND IT GIVES ME MORE COMFORT TO KNOW WHAT IT IS ALL ABOUT. TRUE PEACE IS KNOWING THAT COMPLETE SURRENDER TO GOD, IN CHRIST, IS THE ONLY ANSWER FOR THE CHALLENGES OF MY LIFE, THE YEARNINGS OF MY SOUL, AND THE PAINS AND HEARTACHES I INCUR. EVERY AA MEMBER WOULD BENEFIT FROM READING THIS BOOK.

I’m doing a book study with my church focused on this book and absolutely love it. After only reading the forwards and the first chapter, I knew I had to pass it along so I also sent a copy to my mom. She said it is quite possibly the most powerful thing she has ever read! Definitely would recommend this book to anyone! It’s small and compact, I love the smooth cover, and the “nutshell” recaps at the end of every chapter and how the author poses questions to think about also.

I purchased this book as a gift. A friend of mine is going through some tough times, and has always loved the Serenity Prayer. She has really enjoyed these readings, and has told me a couple of times how much she appreciates the book. She is facing some tough things about herself, so it has been good to get her focus off her circumstances (things she can't change) and recognizing that she can be actively pursuing better choices and better attitudes (things she CAN change). I am usually hesitant to buy "inspirational" books, since so many of them are shallow and fluffy. But my friend admits that she has learned things about herself that she would not have listened to if someone had told her, but this book has helped her to see coping mechanisms, bitterness, control issues and other things that were keeping her locked into a victim mentality. Because her reading this book has given her hope, I would recommend it.

If you are a Christian, in a 12 step program and want to understand the long version of the serenity pray here is a book for you. As a practicing Gnostic this book compliments my beliefs nicely. If you just seek a better understanding of the serenity pray it's a good read.

Great book. Great explanations. New way of looking at Serenity Prayer and applying to your life.

this is my second purcahse of this book and i only wish that it was available locally. i like the book because as a member of several 12 Step Fellowships the Serenity Prayer is usually recited in most of them and gives great help to many seeking recovery from many illnesses and turning to prayer as a means of helping them. I cannot compare this to other products but i beleive that there is another book on the Serenity Prayer. i bought this book as a small birthday present for a friend.

An amazingly simple yet powerful prayer....This book has been a significant step in my journey towards accepting the realities of life. I don't want to, but I must and the author helps me with this. I recommend this book without reservation!

I bought this book on a friend's recommendation. As a Christian I was interested how this well know prayer could help me in my walk with Jesus. I was not disappointed. So much truth and encouragement within these well written pages to increase my faith and love for God as well as learning to share these truths with others...that they too may have the same hope I have in our Creator God. Highly recommend to those who are saved but also to seekers of the truth. May you be blessed.

A well written, thoughtful book giving valuable insights on a favourite prayer, timely for me, since at this present time I find myself asking for Serenity, courage and wisdom as I deal with critical illness within my family,
