PICNIC TIME Canasta Grande Wicker Picnic Basket, Classic Large Wicker Basket for 2 with Handwoven Willow Design, Removable and Customizable Lid, (Beige Canvas with Red & White Gingham Pattern Lid)

I bought this beautiful basket as a gift for Mother's day. Two days before Mother's day, the basket arrived damaged. The lid had a crack in it. For the price of this basket, it was just unacceptable. I was so upset & distraught, but I contacted Amazon right away. Amazon ended up giving me a brand new basket and gave me free one day shipping so it arrived just in time for Mother's day! (Shout out to Amazon's customer service-- they are the BEST!) My Mom loves it! She uses it all the time. Whether it's going for a picnic or going to the beach, this basket is always in her hand. It is very spacious and can fit many different things.. Fits wine bottles perfectly :) Overall: Great purchase and an even greater gift!

Purchased this basket a little over 3 years ago. Very sturdy, put to the test ( a lot). Wicker has not broken. Basket is light weight and has very large capacity. Can fit two picnic blankets and a cooler but typically used to hold dry goods on car camping trips. Lining can be removed to wash. No tears or fraying so far. Only thing I think it’s missing: baskets does not lock shut in any way (maybe a buckle would be cool?). Would purchase again, receive lots of Compliments. Adorable. Update September 2020, basket is still awesome.

I really like this picnic basket. It took me a long time to search for one online that I thought I would be happy with, and this was a great choice. The basket is large and the whole basket is open. It has a nice lining that can be taken out and washed. The top of the picnic basket can be used as a table if you would like. The wicker material is nice and the handles work well. I recommend this basket to anyone looking for a nice, but basic, picnic basket that can hold a lot and looks high quality. It does not come with any dishes/silverware and there is no great way to keep things cold, but other than these things the basket will suit you well.

Bought this as a gift for my in-laws since they wanted a large picnic basket. It's a great size and you'd definitely be able to fit in paper goods and plenty of food for a picnic. The lid is advertised as being hard so you can use it like a table top and that's the case. However, it doesn't lock or latch closed at all, which would drive me nuts if I were the one using it. (The picnic basket I have is Longaberger, and I don't think it's made anymore, but the solid lid latches closed which feels more secure to me even though it's not like I dump it upside down!) The handles are sturdy, too. The first one I ordered had a stain on the inner lining, so just check it out when yours arrives to be sure yours is clean. Amazon is always great to work with, though, and I didn't have any trouble exchanging it before I needed to give it!

Snap on product securing lid was defective. Company needs better inspection controls, this was easily identfied as soon as I opened the package. Lid on item is made of cheap materials. Item is for a fund raiser only hope the winner of this item will be happy with it.

This is the perfect size for a meal picnic, not just a wine & cheese snack. You can fit a picnic meal for 4 - 6 people, or for 2-4 plus the paper plates, tableware and thermos. Nice looking. Lid removes (just snaps on with leather straps) for a flat surface if needed. Keep in mind that it is a basket... won't take the weight of a bag of charcoal, but will carry sandwiches, salads, fruit, deserts and a thermos of tea. If you are doing a cookout, then this basket would keep your tableware, napkins, and misc paraphernalia neatly organized and look much better than all those plastic grocery bags.

I love this picnic basket! It's exactly what I was looking for. I wanted something with a flat top to use as a table on picnics. This has a completely flat top and the handles are made of very thick fabric so they don't get in the way, yet they are very sturdy. I got the large size and it is very roomy. It's also tall enough to use as a table comfortably while sitting on the floor. Very well made, very beautiful!

I was looking for a cute picnic basket that was functional as well as decorative and this fit the bill. Unfortunately the first one that I received had issues with the weaving - the bottom branches were all broken or incomplete - at least that's what it looked like. If you glide your hand over the edge, it would scratch you and would definitely snag on any loose blanket material that you laid the basket on. And because it was missing branches I was worried at some point the stuff I put in the basket would eventually fall out from the bottom. I was disappointed and went on Amazon to return, but they had an exchange option. I really loved the look so I decided to give them a second chance and exchanged it. The new one came quickly and just in time for picnic at a winery that I had planned. The new one was was fantastic, beautiful and the bottom weaving was definitely complete. I ordered the large size so it was big enough for food, water, extra blanket. I love the top which can be used as a small table. Even my husband commented on the functionality and thought that was great idea. So glad I got it!

Great gift idea. Bought it for a friend's birthday and she loved it

This classic wicker basket has a cute fabric lining and a hard top that you can use as a table. It's lightweight, durable and spacious on the inside. This gorgeous basket will be sure to elevate your next picnic.

Solid basket. Used for storing knitting supplies/materials and keeping them out of easy reach of animals and children.

Attractive, sturdy and exactly what I was looking for. Good value for the price.
