These do NOT have a rubber outsole bottom which is grippy and provides traction. It has a perfectly smooth, molded plastic bottom, which makes the shoes very slippery and not good for running. I still kept my pair since my son with autism as extremely picky preferences with shoes that have no straps or laces and easy to slip on and off (as these are), but I wanted a tennis shoe bottom. I have tried a DIY approach and painted the bottoms with some fabric paint, which is supposed to dry tacky and provide a bit more grip. I know there are also tacky sprays out there that you can spray shoes to provide more traction for slippery bottoms. And finally, there's always sandpaper. They say you get what you pay for. But I've found American brands of kid shoes on sale for the same price but with much better materials and quality. But it makes me angry that the Amazon listing says there's a rubber bottom when there's not. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great fit..Great Quality..durable *by G***4 on May 4, 2018* AS AS ADVERTISED!!! Quality exceeded my expectations...Absolutely Beautiful Shoes. What is pictured is EXACTLY what I recieved. Flawless designed shoes. Fast Shipping! Good price! Great product! Package was secured against potential damage in the mail. Seller's description of Item is consistent with photo..Accurate. I am thoroughly satisfied. Honest Sellers.Highly recommend. Many thanks ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Had to make some adjustments *by M***S on July 15, 2018* The insole was either not secured or was very poorly secured so it kept slipping down and out of place during wear, making the shoe very uncomfortable for my son. So it turns out I had a roll of double sided carpet tape. I decided to try securing the insole with that and it worked great. Now the shoes are comfortable and he likes them. However, I don’t feel I should have had to do any adjustments to make them wearable...so, minus one star. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.sn/products/160166137-bodatu-kids-boys-girls-running-shoes-comfortable-fashion-light-weight](https://www.desertcart.sn/products/160166137-bodatu-kids-boys-girls-running-shoes-comfortable-fashion-light-weight) --- *Product available on Desertcart Senegal* *Store origin: SN* *Last updated: 2026-10-05*
