Ultimate Guitar Play-Along Rush: Authentic Guitar TAB, Book & CD (Ultimate Play-Along) Paperback – April 1, 2009

First songbook purchased that included a play-along cd and I like the concept. You can play the cd with guitar parts or click a button to remove the guitar parts and play along with it. Easy to use and seems to be a good learning device. As a beginner, the content is above my skill level but I will have fun trying to learn to play these songs.

My only complaint is the YYZ backing track - specifically the part near the end of the guitar solo where the drums/bass tacet and the guitar does a series of pull-offs. On the backing track, to help keep time during the tacet, instead of utilizing subtle drum sticks the recording plays loud metronome type clicks - VERY LOUD!Frankly, this part could remain silent. I think most guitarists that know this song could stay in proper time until the drums/keyboard come back in. It is not a terribly long period of time.I understand using soft clicks (preferably drum sticks) for songs involving long guitar-only parts, but in this backing track the loud clicks took the fun out of the end of the YYZ solo.

Awesome! Temples of Syrinx was relatively easy to learn. Still working on the other material. I was hoping to find la villa strangiato as I want to learn to play that but haven't been able to find anything that would help. Still, this is a great book.

I gave this for my husband for Christmas gift. He seems to like it a lot. He loves Rush plus he trying to play his guitar so this was a extra addition to his other collections of books with cd. I think its a great play along cd book for anyone who loves music and playing guitar.

If you play guitar and love RUSH then this is for you.

Lack of accuracy on the transcription's details, but acceptable in terms of make it easy for the beginer. the soundtracks are ok.

I like the cd that came with it. Overall it's a good book. Good choice of songs. Although, I like the anthology tab book better.

I was so happy to find this book, which is in excellent shape and as described. It shipped quickly and was an easy purchase for a great price.

This book and CD make it so easy to learn Rush songs. Alex makes his riffs seem impossible to learn, but this book/CD sure help!

Tabs are very accurate. Comes highly recommended. The CD that comes with it is not the best quality. But did not buy it for the CD.
