A delectable treatise
Pray, do not believe a word of it. A common salt is for the common man, but this, this is a substance for the truly distinguished. Upon the initial taste, one finds the very essence of the forest floor, a fragrant and complex profundity that speaks not to a casual consumer, but to an individual of elevated sensibility and a palate trained in the art of the finer things. It is a condiment whose subtleties would surely be lost upon those accustomed to the pedestrian, the merely savoury. Indeed, the sheer excellence of this truffle salt serves as a most effective litmus test. One presents a dish so graced to a guest; if their countenance remains unmoved, their commentary perfunctory, one understands at once that their appreciation for flavour has not yet progressed beyond the rudimentary. To the true gourmand, however, this salt is a revelation. Its judicious application is a secret known only to those who comprehend that the most profound pleasures are often to be found in the most understated of additions. It is a key to unlocking a higher tier of culinary enjoyment, a quiet triumph for those of us who demand nothing less than the extraordinary.

Good flavor.
I like this product and routinely use it as a finishing salt. It's a reasonable price, has good flavor, and is a fine coarseness (it makes a decent popcorn salt). A very little bit goes a very long way. When it runs out, will definitely consider again.

The very best Truffle Salt ever!
I have tried several Truffle Salts in the years. Think I first bought this about 6 to 8 years ago and I am hooked! I have a slow Digestive system and I have a somewhat strict diet. I can not eat many spices, sauces, or fruits and veggies. I use this salt on most everything! It has 10% truffles in it where most other salts are 2-5% truffles. This is my "must have"! They better not stop making it!

WARNING - Delectable Aroma May Incite Direct Consumption From The Jar
WARNING: As tempting as it may be, eating salt directly from the jar is not recommended as it poses a significant health risk. Ingestion of pure salt can be fatal, and purposeful consumption of saturated salt solutions is a method of suicide, common at one time in China. If you've read some of the other reviews, you know how appealing the aroma of this product is. Practically makes you want to inhale it. Or just eat it directly from the jar . . . it's almost good enough to stand alone. Okay, I love this stuff, but even I don't eat it by itself. I say that it's almost good enough to stand alone, because I use it as the primary seasoning for my bread-dipping oil. It's an idea I borrowed from a restaurant, when I was trying to figure out how to eat this stuff straight out of the jar without causing bodily harm. I like to serve it at dinner in individual dipping bowls with a nice hearty or rustic loaf of bread. I start with about a ounce of good olive oil ( PONS Early Harvest Arbequina Extra Virgin Olive Oil 16 oz ), some fresh cracked pepper ( Frontier Gourmet Peppercorns, Pink 0.88 Oz Grinder Bottle both for aesthetics and flavor), and just over 1/8 tsp of this Selezione Tartufi Black Truffle Salt 10%, 3.5 Ounce Unit , stir and pour into a tiny dish to be placed at each plate. My family enjoys this is as a cholesterol-free and slightly fancier alternative to butter. It's salty, but really tasty as an occasional treat.

would buy again -- with caveats
Ah, the sensual taste of black truffles. This salt includes generous bits of black summer truffles, not winter truffles, but that's good enough for me. At least you know that you're getting actual truffle substance, in contrast to truffle oil, which often contains synthetic compounds (truffle "essence"). I received this package last night and already sprinkled this truffle salt on mashed potatoes and on a veggie burger. I'm looking forward to adding this to my scrambled eggs every morning and creating a blend with unsalted butter. As far as the truffle salt itself goes, I only wish that this were available at an even higher concentration than 10%. The main problem is the packaging. The lid does not keep in the beautiful aroma of truffles -- I don't mind the smell in the kitchen, but all that wonderful flavor won't end up in the food. I've portioned out some in a camping (screwtop) salt shaker so that I can keep the main stash in a ziploc bag. But to reiterate, the lid itself is really a bad packaging job. In fact, the jar was open when it arrived! I'm not sure whether to blame the manufacturer or Amazon, but this meant the truffle salt spilled all over the inside of bubble wrap and the cardboard box. I recovered most, feeling somewhat pathetic about the effort, but this is expensive stuff and easily 10% to 20% of the product got lost in transit. I guess that tells you how good the stuff is.

Aromatic and flavorful!
This truffle salt is totally worth its weight in gold! So far, weโve used it on rice, pasta, cottage cheese, tomatoes, toast, just about anything that makes us think about that earthy aroma and truffle flavor. A little spendy, but totally worth it.

TIL Truffles are not overrated
The truffle popcorn I had purchased years back convinced me that truffle flavor was bland, but after enjoying this truffle salt, I think maybe I should've only written off the brand instead of declaring truffles in general to be overrated. Now, this is the only truffle salt I've ever cooked with, so I don't have other brands to compare it to. But, in my experience with it, the salt to truffle ratio is perfect - there are plenty of truffle specks sprinkled throughout. When I used the truffle salt with fries or grilled meat and seafood, the truffle aroma was strong but not overpowering, and I didn't need to add more salt for flavor. It's not too expensive if you consider how the salt limits how much you can use at a time. I'd recommend stirring it to mix it before use, as shaking the container separates the lightweight mushroom pieces from the heavier salt.

Excellent for being commercially made and affordable
Let me start by saying that truffle is my favorite flavor. I love the umami quality and find the scent to be an aphrodisiac (call me a sow). There was a great shop in New York called the Filling Station that has the best truffle salt, but because it was a casualty of COVID-19, I have been on the hunt for a replacement. I was impressed by how good this salt is. Usually, truffle salt is more salt than truffle, but this brand really has a strong flavor and aroma, and you don't need to use more than a pinch at a time. I've been using the same jar for almost 6 months now, and it hasn't lost any of it's potency and hasn't started to dessicate. TLDR; this is the good stuff
