The app that controls this unit (which is the only way to program it) is now defunct so do not plan on using this item as planned. You can manually slide it, but that is it. WHY MAKE A UNIT THAT CAN ONLY BE USED WITH AN APP AND NOT SUPPORT THAT APP?!? Super lame. Regret buying it, used it twice before it fit the shan. BOOOOO

Firstly, the positive. The slider is high-quality and solidly made, the case is also excellent. The only negative is that occasionally it isn't as perfectly smooth as I would like - also I feel that in order to get a constant, even moment I may need to buy a hand crank. I have yet to experiment with a weight on a line which might work well. If i could afford it, I'd get the motorized crank. All in all though, I do like ti and am not unhappy with my purchase

Slider is good but began to loose its consistent smoothness after a month of use. It tightens midway and loosens up farther down the rail. In order to fix the problem I have to keep the tension almost all the way down and push with a finger t get a smooth shot. Not a big enough problem though, I would buy again because its priced nicely and feels good in the hands.

Very good slider and easy to setup. For low budget filming its what you need.
