Great for dog walking
First business of my day is to walk the dogs on the fields nearby, Usually this entails bootsocks, wellingtons and a lot of struggling to get everything on and a comfortable fit.AS the fields have very short grass a boot which covers up to mid calf was overkill, what I wanted was a slip on waterproof shoe with good traction and ease of fitting, these were just the job.It takes seconds to put them on in the morning, they cover only what's needed and have good traction on some of the muddier paths. If buying a pair only state your usual shoe size, buying a pair which are larger will be a mistake as there is no way to tighten them up when worn, I wear mine with a air of hiking socks for warmth and they are perfect. Just remember they are shoes so they can only be used to walk through shallow water, up to 20mm and even then go slowly so no splashes over the top.Addendum to original post, they now leak badly on both feet at the toe area, this is obviously a manufacturing fault as they haven't been used every day as its been mostly fine weather I have been using a pair of textile hiking boots for my walks.Contact with Koala products was very slow and took 3 days to answer my query, first they asked "Is it sweat from your feet?" when I posted a pic of my socks showing obvious wet patches only in the toe area their response was that "its very odd, we have had one boot with a leak a number of years ago but this was caused by a sharp object puncturing the rubber resulting in the leak", we have never come across both boots leaking before.I asked about warranty and their response was. " please return at your own cost to XXXXX if a manufacturing fault is present we can offer a repair of the item, if this is not possible we would issue a partial refund based on the remainder of your six month warranty".Or in other words I get to Pay £10 to post them back by registered mail, added to the £7.99 I paid in postage to them, which means I pay £17.99 in postal charges so they can attempt a repair. If a repair is not possible I get 50% of what I paid for the shoes less postage. So to wear these shoes for approx 20 hours it will cost me £35.48, this puts me well out of pocket considering they have been worn very rarely over the 2 months of ownership. And any repair would only be a temporary fix and they are likely to leak again in the future.

Perfect for the allotment
I hate the feel of full height wellies but I need a waterproof slip-on for gardening. These ankle boots are perfect. The soles are lovely and chunky and appear to be reinforced between heel and toe (ie where you'd place your foot on a fork or spade when digging). Very comfortable neoprene lining. My normal shoe size is Clarks 5.5 or 6 and I ordered a size 40. This was a little large but allows for my gardening socks.(Or two pairs of thin socks). The boots are easy to slip on and off and there is a pull tab on the heel if you need it.Highly recommended.

Best ankle boots I have ever bought!
I have been wearing these types of boots for many years - They are good for wearing in the garden - Wet grass etc. I take my dogs for walks each day, some road, but mainly rough terraine in the hills. The biggest problem with previous makes, is that they are difficult to get on (Use tent rope hook) and eventually split! These Dirt Boots (had for 6 months now) are thicker than normal, easy to get on, with deep tread, slightly 'clunky'. I often wear them all day and my feet do not sweat. If I have a small criticism is that the liner could be of better quality - I bought new ones. Overall great value! (Buy slightly too large...)

Sizing confusing
I ordered them in a 5 which should be a 38 however they were massive so gave them to my daughter & ordered them in size 4 perfect. Very well constructed and comfortable. Have to see how well they last me.

Excellent waterproof pull on boot
Great, good grip and solid construction (which makes them a little heavy as the only con) - I thought they're fairly priced. Using daily for dog walking.

Sturdy boots
These are a 'step up' in quality from the usual garden shoes or cut down wellies. They are sturdy, comfortable and feel like they'll last a long time and survive use on rough ground as well as wet conditions. They are quite heavy though!

Worth the money
Good grip and a nice cushioned sole. Comfortable boot but if I was ordering again I would probably try a size smaller. For the money I don't think you can go wrong.
