I like these a lot. I bought them mainly for dog walking as I was fed up with getting soaking feet from the morning dew. Long,wet grass is the most difficult for any boot to keep your feet dry, even gortex will not cope once boots are saturated. These Dirt Boots provide the solution. They need a bit of pushing and shoving to get them on,but once on they are remarkably comfortable. The sizing is generous so no problem with wearing thick walking socks. Unlike standard wellingtons the neoprene keeps your feet cosy and warm. The soles are classic walking boot style and satisfyingly rigid providing sure footedness. The only downside is that they are on the heavy side. However I'm not intending to run a marathon in them. If you're need a stout and really waterproof boot then this are for you.

Size wise I would say they are moderately larger than what I'm used to but other than that they are fine. One thing I did notice was the internal sock was incorrectly applied and caused the heel part to bunch up and cause irritation when walking, I remedied this by cutting the offending part out. This is the reason why I've given these boots only 4 stars instead of 5.UPDATE August 2019.......The inner sock was delaminating from the foam so I contacted the seller for a bit of advice.Wish I hadn't, the attitude was curt, brusque and wholly unprofessional especially as I am a returning customer.Would I buy from Koala products again?......Probably not.

I paid full price for these boots - this is an unbiased and unsolicited review - trust me if any gear I buy has faults, I review exactly as I find.The boots are superb. They fit exactly according to the stated size.The slip on and off very easily - the top is not too tight but snug and flexible. They are totally cocooning and comfortable on your feet - I have worn them for 8 hours at a stretch and I forget they are on - They are reassuringly heavy, but you only notice them for a minute. The heel-kicks work very well allowing me to slip them off without bending down or using my hands - so easy! I have not tested them in full winter conditions, but fully expect them to be warm and snug even in very cold conditions - you can just tell.The sole has a mixture of hard plastic 'points' and tough rubber cleats, which gives them 4X4-like grip - they don't slip, even on wet seaweed covered rocks. They are 100% waterproof and I have tested them for hours in deep-mud, long dewy grass and torrential rain. They have a very robust spade cleat to allow pushing hard on a spade without harming the sole. I dig bait in rocky-mud and these are holding up well.Overall - I am delighted with these wonderful boots!! My feet are 100% dry at last. All the other 'walking' boots I tried leaked eventually, when subject to miles of walking in long dewy grass and surface slurry mud for 8 hours! They are a match for anything on the market and not as expensive as some other makes.Thanks for these great boots. My fellow sea-anglers and archers will be buying them soon.

This is the third pair of Dirtboots i have bought, the other two being full height wellingtons. They are the most comfortable boots i can find.It is such a shame the quality is so poor and the customer service of the seller is woefully lacking. The first boots leaked, not sweat, after 80 days from purchase and was told they are out of the 30 day warranty. 80days for £80, not a good sign.The second pair have lasted longer, (200 days) although leaking slightly they are still comfortable and that's why i opted for the shorter boot for yardwork.You would think i would have not bought these Dirtboots again but they are as i say "so damn comfy". I hasten to add I only wear these boots for a couple of hours about 3 times a week so they are not abused.Update.... October 2020 now come adrift at the welt. Leaking badly. How can this seller sleep at night when supplying such c**p.Please avoid these.

I wanted some waterproof boots to be able to use for early morning summer dog walks when the grass is long and wet. These boots do the job perfectly. They are of a robust build and so slightly heavy but that is not a criticism. They feel very comfortable and almost slipper like which is not what I would expect from boots of this type. They are 100% waterproof with a thick sole and feel like they would stand up to alot of punishment. I have worn them for walks of several miles duration and they have remained comfortable.I am a small size 6 and found them a bit too big for me but inserted an insole which has more or less sorted that problem although still a little sloppy at the heel. They are still comfortable though. The only other thing is that when it is warm out they do get hot to wear and so my socks can be a bit sweaty but then I would expect that from boots of this material and it is a small price to pay for such comfortable heavy duty type boots.I really like these boots and would recommend them to anyone that wants a pair of boots that are 100% waterproof and robust but comfortable to wear on a day to day basis.I

Had these for several months now. Wear them for dog walking 2 hours minimum every day. Have been through woods, wet parks, snow, streams, mud, and they have not let any water in. Much more comfortable than a wellington and a much better sole (it is sturdy like a hiking boot). I will be back for more when they eventually wear out.

Comfy from first wear - no breaking in needed. Robust boot that keeps you dry & mud-free. Wear thicker socks to stop bits of debris flipping up and sneaking in around the ankle though.
