Use a warm compress for 5-10 minutes before using to thin the oil. Then place one side on the inside of the eyelid, one on the outer, and squeeze gently. Some white oily gunk should come out. Wash your eyes with diluted baby shampoo afterwards.

There is no booklet. There are lots of YouTube videos with doctors and other professionals showing how to use a tool like this.
