I am in LOVE!
My stylist and I changed up my usual light auburn color to a darker shade. While it is lovely, it is doesn't have quite as much copper in it as I was hoping for. Instead of damaging my hair and recoloring, I decided to use something temporary to boost the copper for the next 6 weeks. I had used the Joico Color Infuse in copper in the past, but apparently this has mysteriously been discontinued (although why I do not know as it imparted a beautiful shine and dimension) and all that is now available is red which is way off. I have used the Gem brand in fire opal which, again, is quite lovely, but being strictly a shampoo requires use often. Enter dpHUE. I came across this looking for other options. I ordered 2 bottles of the copper since they are only a little over 6 oz. I left it on for 10 minutes, rinsed, and voila! The areas of my hair that were more brown than copper were suddenly this amazing dark auburn color! And, since this is semi-permanent color, it will gradually wash out. The label does warn that darker colors can stain your hands so wear gloves. I didn't wear gloves as I applied this in the shower after shampooing and the reddish brown tint washed off with soap and water. I did apply some around my hairline more carefully with my finger tips and found that a smooth grit pumice stone removed any residual color quite easily. I have hair that is a little past my shoulders and used 4 pumps which covered my hair perfectly as I was going for something that would work with my current color and not looking to make a drastic change. The directions recommend mixing it with one of their other products if you are looking for a more subtle color change (and I suppose your could mix it with any conditioner as well), but I found using less product worked for me. My only regret is not thinking to take before and after pics. I will definitely keep this on hand to refresh my color between salon visits.

A thoughtful gift that truly made her hair shine — vibrant color and great moisture
I gifted the dpHUE Gloss+ in Copper to my girlfriend after she mentioned wanting brighter, healthier-looking hair without high maintenance, and it has been a big hit. The first time she used it, I instantly noticed how much more vibrant and glossy her color looked — it really brought out warmth and shine in her copper tones. ✔ What we loved • Beautiful, natural shine: The gloss added a luminous finish that made her hair look healthier and more vibrant without looking overly processed. • Hydrating without heaviness: Her hair felt soft and moisturized afterward, not weighed down or greasy — even after 48+ hours. • Easy to apply at home: She didn’t need any special tools or salon visit — the application was simple and the instructions were clear, which made it ideal for a gift. • Long-lasting subtle enhancement: The color boost and shine lasted several washes, giving her hair extra life between salon appointments. ❤️ Why it was a great gift She mentioned how much she appreciated the extra dimension it gave to her natural tones, and even weeks later she still gets compliments on how healthy and glossy her hair looks. It’s one of those products that feels a bit luxurious but is easy enough to use regularly — perfect for someone who likes beautiful results without complicated routines. ⭐ Final Verdict The dpHUE Gloss+ in Copper was a wonderful, thoughtful gift that delivered real results: richer color, brilliant shine, and softer hair. If you’re looking for something that boosts natural tone and adds gloss with minimal effort, this is a great choice. ✔ Highly recommended for gifting or everyday hair enhancement — especially for colored or dull hair seeking a healthy glow.

If you enjoy brushing out bits of color for days, buy this!
This was honestly such a disappointment because the packaging looks so nice and the application went so smoothly. The product smells good. It felt good on my hair, and I didn’t burn. I have extremely sensitive skin so this is definitely something important to know. It did definitely color my skin (scalp and hairline), but was unnoticeable after about a day and another wash. I could’ve taken precautions to apply Vaseline around my hairline, but I totally didn’t so That is another thing to know about this product or you should definitely use some thing to block your hairline skin, because it will stain up to a day. For reference I am fair skinned porcelain complexion. I followed all of the instructions perfectly, and I was really happy for the first couple of days with the color! However, 3 days later every time I brushed my hair (wet or dry!) my hairbrush was getting coated with slimy chunky color residue and it was staining everything in my house - towels, shirts, pillowcases - I took a bath with no product in the bathtub whatsoever, and when I stood up, I realized the water was stained, and I had left a ring in the tub itself! Since I already used the product, I did not request a refund. I did return the other color that I purchased, because I will never be using this product again. I will stick with the Morrocan oil line, which lasts for months and months. While more annoying to apply, and has a worse feel during application, it smells just as good if not better, and actually does the job!!!!

Uneven and Stains
Despite saturating my hair fully it didn't deposit evenly. Beware that it stains everything it touches. I wanted to keep my hair vivid between dyeing it, I think it achieved what I wanted at the roots but my ends look almost red in person. It was about half the bottle to cover all my hair, will not be using again.

I made the mistake... however..
So I've done a color depositing gloss before and it was great. Just like the other one, which was a different brand, this one left my hair soft and smooth and shiny. I purchased the copper color because I wanted a nice copper tint to the brown sections of my hair. I also have blonde sections in my hair that I had separated out last time. Here is where my mistake comes in: I did not separate out the blonde and it definitely took the color. My issue though is the product was a nice coppery brown coming out of the bottle and the brown sections of my hair look nice and coppery. The blonde sections however turned literally clown wig red. BRIGHT CLOWN WIG RED. Like there is no blending the red into the brown and it looking nice. I did that on Tuesday. Today is Friday of the same week and since then I've been washing my hair every day - something I never do, its usually 2 days a week are for washing hair - and using a detox shampoo and a regular shampoo. The bright red is now a bright peachy-red. If I were already on maternity leave it wouldn't be such a big deal, but I'm still a few weeks out and still working. My bad... sorta...

Superceded my expectations
I was not expecting a whole lot but this product superceeded my expectations. The only thing I dislike is having to wash and wet my hair previously because it's winter and I was cold but it was super easy to apply. I found it easier to apply than regular hair dye and much less toxic. I used a bowl and an application brush from Sally beauty supply and there was no mess. It was a very creamy conditioner and I could see how people say one bottle will last for a while because I probably only used about a quarter and my hair is hip length. So, because of it's creaminess there was no mess. I left it on for 30 minutes. When I went to rinse I didn't lose hardly any color, just a little bit everybody's hair is different. Another thing too, I co-wash so I didn't use shampoo I used my conditioner. So, I rinsed and I was pleasantly surprised. The color took much stronger than my usual hair dye and it was much gentler on my hair. My hair felt very conditioned. My grays were completely covered which I was unsure about but they were covered completely and came out a beautiful light copper that you can see in my pictures. You can see my bangs too there are a lot of grays at the roots that were completely covered. So, I am definitely leaning towards this method going forward since it feels so good and works well. This works for me because I only wash my hair once a week and it's only a co-wash. My climate is at elevation and cold alpine so conditioning is extremely important here. I usually dye my hair (roots) every month so by then it will only be 4 co-wash cycles. So, if you co- wash this could be great for you. I also love that they have so many different colors for people to chose them, there is a color for everybody. So, I think this is a winner for me. Knowing how much I condition my hair and how gentle co-washing is I don't expect to lose too much color. I'm also looking forward to more beautiful highlights the more grays I get. I will update this review after a month but so far I really like this product.

Cooper is a very bright red!
Cooper. Obviously, the product works. I didn't have any problem with stains like others' reviews said. You can easily wash it out with soap in case of stains. To apply, I wash my hair first and then leave the product for about 15min and wash it out with warm water (while taking a shower). Is hard to get it even in the whole hair, I ended up with patches even when I damped my hair in the product, but I think it works well to cover the roots meanwhile. Also, I used it for my eyebrows, I think that is the best use I found for this. If you like this kind of shade this is for you, personally is not the shade I'm looking and I'm not willing to buy other shades and mix it because is pricey but I will use the rest to retouch my eyebrows. I will not buy it again unless I mix it with another color, good side you can wear white clothes, or even go to the beach it won't stain everything. If you like this color tone I hope this review helps you. (Before: Blue dress, After: Black dress)

It works!
Pic 1 was before; 2 & 3 are after the treatment. Pleasantly surprised by the results! After reading reviews I wasn't expecting much. My hair naturally is medium brown and I dye my roots at home with an ammonia free dye. Genetically I have some red in my family and I was strawberry blond as a kid. So four weeks ago I decided to get my hair to a copper red. I had a balayage treatment at the hairdresser with a copper glaze. As glaze is only a temporary and I generally do not go to the hairdresser, I decided to try out this product in an effort to save money to keep the copper going. I left it on 20 minutes and whoa! Almost too much copper! I'm not concerned as I know it will lighten with each wash and I love it! What I REALLY loved about this product is it is so easy to use and so harsh odors. Additionally, rinsing was a total breeze. No splatter, no red bathtub, nothing. It is like it just deposited the color on my hair and the rest rinsed away like shampoo. I think about one fifth of the bottle. That means 4-5 more dye sessions in this one bottle. I'm about 25% gray and my guys are covered for the minute, in a bright light I can see it is brighter by my grays, like the gray coverage won't last long. However, there is a little spot on my roots that I missed with the dye and my grays are so bright there in comparison. I will add more to that one spot to even it all out. I WILL continue using this product and am really impressed with the results. I am a shopper and do not usually review things but this product is awesome, so I felt compelled to review it. They suggest 5-20 minutes, My one criticism is it feels like its too much color and the texture is a bit off, I think next time I will not leave it on for 20 minutes, maybe 12-15 will be the sweet spot?

Great results!
I LOVE it. Perfect for adding some life and shine back to red hair with copper tones. Really, it's great. Very hydrating as well. I'll see how it holds up to the more frequent washes over summer, but great price for the amount you get. I have hair that goes halfway down my back and I really didn't need much to fully cover it all. It says 8 washes per use, and I still think I'll make it all summer at least with one bottle. It does stain your hands, but if you wash with soap and water it comes out no problem. I only left it on for about 5 minutes and still see the results (it recommends 3-20). I heard that if you mix 2-3 pumps with your shampoo in between uses, it greatly extends the lifespan between full uses so I'll try that too.

Not Copper
if you’re trying to get copper avoid, this made my hair a deep auburn red. The application/ amount you get it great just a shame the shade is misadvertised

So impressed
Can’t respond on how long it stays in as I just used it last night, but I left this product on for 30 minutes and the difference was genuinely shocking I am so so impressed. Used the copper colour boosting conditioner and I was expecting a small change not a fresh out of the salon change yet here we are. So excited to find something this good to help me maintain salon hair color

Copper is pink/burgundy
I have a warm almost coppery brunette hair and wanted to play up the copper. I bought "copper" thinking that'd do it, but it is more of a deep burgundy or pink. Started to really worry when the water I was rinsing was VERY pink and not at all copper or orangey. Was going for Merida, ended up with little mermaid. Maybe the "strawberry" would have been a better choice... But that sounds pink amd copper sounds copper so that seems ridiculous. I would also rather not spend another $50. It does deposit a decent amount of colour though so the product seems ok, the shade names are just misleading and it's hard to tell what they'll look like before purchasing.
