how hard is it to take down?  How do you take it down?

I am a 60 year old mother and grandmother. I'm 5 ft tall. I have had my clam for over a year now.  At first it seem like it would be hard but I can set it up in minutes. I use mine all year round. When taking it down make sure the support poles where the door is are folded back and secured . The clam will not come together unless the support poles are folded. To take down the clam I push In the walls first then the roof. I am short so I have trouble reaching it to fold it up.so I have to do it my way. Don't worry you will develop a system that is best for you. Practice, Practice, Practice. The Clam can take it it's tough. Good luck.

Why such a price difference between colors?

the reason for the price difference is due to the fact that all Brown Quick-Set Products have an additional 4-5" flap of material at the roof line that serves as an "eve" that when used in conjunction with the Brown accessory Wind Panels will divert any precipitation off of the roof and down the outside of the Wind Panel.  The Green models do not offer this feature.  Secondly all Brown Quick-Set Screen Shelters offer a light cream (tan ) roof material that allows more ambient light into the shelter making it brighter. Once the sides are staked at our campsite, will this work as a "no escape" enclosure for adult cats provided we supervise them all the time?

The bottom has flaps all the way around. Stake the four corners and put dirt on these flaps and your cats will have a hard time getting out. I would still watch them, as a determined cat could get out eventually, but it makes a nice space for them to be outside. You can also get an Abo Cat Tent which is totally secure - I use this for my cats. Amazon sells these for under $50 and they're cat proof and easy to carry and simple to set up. I use the Abo tent when I'm on the road and want to get the cats out for a break.

Lost my instructions - how do I fold this up?

It's easier with two people, but here's how I do it:  I undo the support poles and fasten them back, then I zip the door mostly closed.  I get inside and pull down on the roof loop, kind of like turning an umbrella inside-out.  I step out and zip the door all the way.  Then I push in the sides; it helps if you are pushing it against something, otherwise you'll be walking it all over the lawn.  Once it's all "collapsed", use the underside of the roof support as the "bottom" when putting it in the case.
