Works great !
I didn’t want to spend too much on a speed controller because I didn’t really know what I was doing and if I accidentally blew it up, it really wouldn’t matter . You see, years ago, to control the speed of a boat you would either use a bobs board , microswitches or some arrangement of resistors driven from a servo to control the speed of the boat, but I find that returning to model making after many years away from it, that things have moved on significantly. I recently bought a new radio control system, which only had one servo, and the instructions mentioned using a speed controller to control the motor speed. Also, it didn’t come with a receiver battery holder like they used to years ago. I found out there’s something called a BEC connection which means that you don’t need receiver batteries anymore, the receiver is supplied with power from the speed controller. When this little speed controller arrived , I was expecting to see a connection marked BEC which would plug into my receiver, but there was none, so instead, I just plugged the speed controller into the connection that the servo would normally go in and everything seems to work okay. I have great proportional speed control of a 540 motor, running on 3S lithium batteries from this little controller, and I didn’t manage to blow it up, so really really pleased with this purchase but Time will tell how durable it is. for a cheap little controller, it works really really well..

Works as expected but feels low quality
works well for a cheap ESC but the build quality isn't great

Wiring was all wrong
Needed to sort out all the wiring to get it right but once I had it seems to work well. However if they can't get simple wiring right I'm not holding out much hope for durability
