Corsair CMZ16GX3M2A1600C9 Vengeance 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 1600 MHz (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory 1.5V

I bought this ram to replace my old Gskill 4x4gb 16gb DDR3 1866mhz set I had. Two of the sticks started to produce errors and I couldn't send it in for warranty since I lost my receipt. This ram worked out of the box with my AsRock Z77 Professional-M motherboard. By default it was set to DDR3 1333mhz 1.5v's. I had to manually set it to its rated DDR3 1600mhz. It wasn't an issue. I never had ram that was set to its rated speed since my old DDR 400 set from 2004 lol. The ram heatsinks really do an excellent job at cooling the ram, but they are huge! So if you are using a massive cooler like the Noctua D14, you might run into clearance problems. The only con about this ram is it's X.M.P profile. I don't know if its my motherboard reading it wrong or what, but its X.M.P profile sets the ram to DDR3 1556. Even CPU-Z reads its X.M.P profile as DDR3 1556. It's not that big of a deal since I was able to easily manually set the correct speeds, voltage, and timings, but it is weird. So beware, if you buy this kit, you might have to set the correct settings yourself. Overall, this is a great kit. No errors, fast, and the quality of the ram seems to be fantastic. I highly recommend it.

Upgraded to this 16gb ram combo, and my work productivity is the better for it. If you use your computer for memory intensive tasks such as video editing (which I do in small amounts, mainly short clips edited for family videos), do yourself a favor and make sure you have the maximum amount of ram your system allows. In my case, my mini-ITX machine that I put together over a year ago really struggled until I put these Corsair Vengeance sticks in. Now I can get projects done in no time! Prices for RAM have been fluctuating in the last couple years and I was fortunate to buy this at a time when the price was trending downward. If you are in the market, swoop in and get this while the deals are good.

This is what I had in my system: Motherboard: ASUS SABERTOOTH Z77 CPU: Intel i7-3770K, 3.5 GHz, 8MB Cache, LGA1155, 77W Memory: Corsair CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9 Vengeance 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 1600 MHz (PC3 12800) It worked well, except when I tried to run an virtual machine. Sometimes things would hang. I just didn't have enough memory. So I purchased this memory: Corsair CMZ16GX3M2A1600C9 Vengeance 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 1600 MHz (PC3 12800) ASIN: B0085IWXB8 After communicating with ASUS I put it in these memory slots along with my old 4 GB modules. DIMM_A1: 8 GB DIMM_A2: 4 GB DIMM_B1: 8 GB DIMM_B2: 4 GB Now I have 24 GB of memory and things work a little better. No more hangs running a Virtual Machine. Very happy with it.

I've used Corsair RAM for the past ten years and this RAM ia great. Fast, easily overclockable, and great heat dissipation. People using aftermarket air coolers might have issues with clearance because the heatsinks are tall. Keep in mind that this ram does not run at advertised speed out of the gate like some RAM which is downclocked by default. You need to adjust the speed in bios to get it at its normal speed. Could be a hassle for people not familiar with overclocking, but its an easy fix. Would highly recommend, this RAM is solid, and you can't beat a lifetime warranty.

I just completed a build using a new Intel Core i5-4690 Processor - BX80646I54690 and H97 chipset and needed some good RAM that was compatible with my components and supported Intel's XMP profile. Here are the reasons why I chose this RAM: 1) Brand is reliable and awesome; 2) Will not be overclocking so only needed 1600MHz; 3) Supports Intel XMP profile; 4) Compatible with motherboard Gigabyte H97 Extreme Multi Graphics Support UEFI DualBIOS Micro ATX DDR3 1600 LGA 1150 Motherboard GA-H97M-D3H ; and 5) It has a nice look. Also, I chose 16GB since I will be using photo editing software that is a memory hog. I would highly recommend these sticks.

the manufacturing date is 30/12 as seen from CPU-Z, not surprise as it is DDR3... despite it is made 7 years ago, it works perfectly in my old computer. also, the price is relatively cheap when comparing to the local store in HK.

Bought these to replace my defective 8GB (2x4GB) DIMMs that came with my computer. Loaded easily and works well. Only one word of caution/note: By default this RAM seems to operate at 1333 MHz. You have to go into your BIOS and enabled the Intel XMP profile to get it to run at 1600 MHz. Seems kind of weird since 1600 MHz is the default for most (if not all) Haswell-capable motherboards. Wish i could leave 4.5 stars as it's a relatively minor thing, but I suppose if you don't know to look for it you won't realize that its running at a lower speed. P.S. If you are buying this for use in an AMD-capable motherboard, I have no idea how your experience with the memory speed will go. Overall, very glad i purchased this!

This is the second batch I got from Corsair and they work great! No ram errors and great performance. Highly recommended as there is a limited lifetime warranty associated with this specific ram and there is a reason why. This ram will keep on going in your build!!!

Nice looking ram funtions as advertised. Good buy while ddr3 is on cheep.

Used this in my build, and recomend this to my friends who I have helped build their gaming rigs. The RAM is fast, reliable, and looks kinda cool. If you are looking at this RAM then you should know what you need already and this review is pointless but none the less, if you ask me, this is the one to buy. 8GB is enough for any gaming rig and while 16GB may be overkill many people including me want it for the additional breathing room. Not to mention the RAM itself is good value for the memory you are getting.

Had no issues when installed, worked as intended and was registered quickly. Great value compared my local stores wanting more then $120 for both 8g sticks. Majority of my setup, including keyboard & mouse, is corsair and I’ve never had a issue - They’ve always made great products that last for years. +1 great product, can never go wrong with Corsair

Las compré para darle el máximo de potencia a un PC con una ASUS Crosshair V Formula Z. Con los dos módulos alcanzo los 32GB máximos que admite la placa y los 1600Mhz, por ahora se comportan muy bien y se les vé rápidas, en mi caso es un equipo que uso para trabajar en varios sectores (programación, edicción de video, modelaje 3D...) y el rendimiento es muy bueno.
