First off, let me start by saying I am a very distinct kind of individual who is very strict with my viewing experiences such as those presented by high resolution monitors. So much as I am particularly bothered by a single dead pixel (They are annoying once found and never seem to escape your subconscious). With that said, I found this monitor to be superb in terms of quality, color gamut, and refresh rate. Comparing two 1440p monitors, the other that was returned because of horrible greys, a dead pixel, and faded circles on the screen (Monoprice Zero-G 1440p) vs this monitor that just outshines the competitor in every aspect. At first, I was hesitant because of the conflicting reviews but I finally decided that I would have to "try it to believe it" and several weeks later I am completely satisfied with paying the premium for this monitor and using it with various games such as Doom Eternal, Rainbow Six Siege, Fortnite, Alien Isolation, and Resident Evil 3. Sure, the back-light bleed is noticeable when the monitor is "all black" but when colors are present it isn't noticeable nor bothersome. Even playing a game such as Alien Isolation when black is the most dominant I could rarely if ever find myself bothered or notice any back-light bleed. The gaming is immersive, so much that I haven't touched my ps4 Pro since switching to PC. Everything about the monitor screams "buy-me," quite honestly you will not be disappointed. Now, this review is written utilizing a Desktop that has an MSI Geforce 2060 Ventus OC Edition Graphics card and a Ryzen 5 1600 6-Core, 12-Thread CPU so experience may vary depending on your internals. Overall, you might believe the price is steep depending on your situation, though the benefits outweigh the cons and the performance you receive in return is something to brag about - the RGB inclusion also makes it much simpler to color scheme as shown in my AVP theme above.

A Solid WIN but with only the Right Specs. This Monitor is very high spec Resolution is 3440X1440 with G Sync and 120 htz refresh. It's a very bright display has to be around 450 nits Max brightness. It's so bright I use only Game 2 mode in RPG setting I can't use anything brighter trust me it's rediculously bright. You will have to turn down settings in the game your playing if too bright. Ok so with that out of the way this monitor is fully Capable of running AAA titles at Ultra settings or HIGH if you have the right hardware to support it. What does that mean ? Well for starters I am running for my SPEC: I9900k 8 Core Up to (5.2 gtz OC) MSI Trident X Plus with 32GB RAM RTX 2080ti Ventus DUO by MSI PSU: Gold Standard 750 3 Pcie NVME SSD's You get the point. So I can see high frame rates on most titles either RPG or FPS in HIGH settings or ULTRA but that's not hitting full refresh of 120htz in ULTRA nope. HIGH settings or even medium on MOST titles I am seeing refresh rate being hit at that MARK. It really just depends on the game and type of game you play. The OSD: is so easy to use the navigation menu was very thought out and I have no issues. Don't forget to change your FACTORY refresh from 60htz to 120htz in Nvidia control panel or this monitor would be useless in that regard. I happen to like the Alien FX lighting and how simple it is to customize in the OSD menu. I typically leave it on breathing or Spectrum to cycle through the colors to match my Logitech G560 speakers. I really reccomend sitting further away from this monitor as opposed to being close up. The colors are very bright and vibrant. Literally no washed up colors no back light bleed really at all and if it's there just a little bit on this IPS screen you won't notice it at least not my unit. Assembly and set up: Ummm took like maybe 2 mins to set up and get running. It was easy as cake. No tools of any kind required just use the supplied Wing BOLT and your good to go. The monitor really isn't that heavy either. It's very solid and doesn't wobble doesn't move around when slightly touching it. It's also adjustable so thats a plus swivels and tilts. Is it necessary for swivel ? No not really this thing is huge I leave it set in 1 motion only. Final thoughts: You guys I really have nothing negative to say about this monitor really at all. This monitor is truely epic in every way and when it was in sale for $1029 I grabbed it. Shipping took literally 2 days than there it was on my door step. Keep in mind the BOX is huge ok. The packaging is second to none and the directions are clear as day when removing the monitor from it's old home (The BOX) I highly recommend this amazing piece of hardware to add to any high spec set up... Additional thoughts: Please have a high spec machine at least RTX 2070 Super or above to run this beast at it's native resolution. If not than I wouldn't see a use for it and to look elsewhere. For 2 years, I've been using a Dell Gaming S2716DG 27.0" Screen LED-Lit Monitor with G-SYNC and have been pretty happy with it. In mid 2019, I upgraded to a RTX 2080 8GB graphics card and ever since, wanted to upgrade my monitor but really wanted to stick with a gsync compatible monitor, and they're a little harder to find. I thought about doing a dual monitor setup, but thought this would be a better option. I read a lot of the reviews, and even though the 2 year old version was a few hundred dollars cheaper, money wasn't an issue, so I got the newer model. I've been using this now for about a week, and I love it! I feel that most of the positive reviews have been 100% accurate, and I loved the way this was packaged; it was very secure in the box and the box is designed to help assemble the monitor without being a huge pain. It comes with all the cords you would need, which is a nice touch. The RGB lighting, while a nice touch, is pretty underwhelming, but to be honest, I would have paid the same for this monitor even if it didn't have the lighting. The stand is beefy and pretty stylish, but it does take a lot of space on my desk, which I understand, because this is a heavy monitor. There is no power brick, so that is nice. At first, I didn't care much for the buttons on the back of the monitor, but after about 10 minutes of playing with it, it's pretty easy to navigate the menus. I had no dead pixel issues, and the brightness was more than adequate in my somewhat light room. The pre-settings for different games is nice and saves some time making adjustments. I also hate buying a monitor that has built in speakers because I don't want some crappy monitor-speakers and it's a waste, so I was happy to see that this doesn't include speakers. So far, I have played COD: Modern Warfare, Star Wars Fallen Order ,and world of warcraft and all of them look amazing. I honestly don't have any complaints other than I wish there were more than 2 usb ports, but that is all I could come up with. Another review stated that you have to make sure to switch the monitor settings to extreme to get the refresh rate to where you want it to get the benefits of the monitor, but that was very easy to do through the monitor buttons/menus. Overall, I am very happy with this purchase and if you have the money, you should pick one up.

Absolutely love everything about this monitor! I had a few other curved monitors on my list but this one checked all the boxes. 1st off the aesthetics is what caught my attention, like most people lol It’s such a great looking monitor in all angles. Paired with a sturdy base that mostly definitely speaks quality. Love the matte white finish with the subtle yet tasteful RGB lighting in the back. 2nd It’s picture quality is amazing! I wanted to make sure if I’m gonna spend a good amount of money on a monitor it’s gonna have to have everything I need and want. Playing games on it with 120hz is more then enough for me, I also watch movies and do a little content creating as well. Great monitor for all around use. Lastly the PRICE!! So imo, this is by far best bang for your buck when it comes to quality, function and aesthetics for a curved monitor. At the end of the day get what works for you and will make you happy. Long story short, Just pull the trigger and get one! Lol seriously you won’t be disappointed. Hoped this helped!

Went from an LG 24" > Dell 27" 144Hz > This Came in a large Alienware package. Very secure but Amazon did not cover the box so just be careful if you order this, everyone will know if it's left on your porch. Picture quality is great and a huge improvement. Noticed the difference in color right away. Everything's more robust and crisp and just the right brightness that it doesn't strain the eyes. Didn't realize that my old monitor had a bit of a yellowish/orange tint to it. This one is just nice to look at. Responsive display. Didn't notice a difference going from the old 144hz monitor to this new Ultrawide 120hz. Played a few games at high settings on a 2070. Everything ran fine and smooth. Multi tasking is easier with multiple windows opened and completely viewable without worrying about space and having to scroll horizontally. Gaming is on a different world, being able to see more just feels so natural. The default Monitor Stand is pretty well built, feels very durable and has some serious weight for a stand. It was a bit low for me so I switched it to a monitor arm. The bottom of the monitor itself has a touch activated LED Overall a great purchase. Very happy with it.

TLDR: the unit sent to me through Amazon Fulfillment was missing the DisplayPort-to-DisplayPort cable (which means I cannot run at 120Hz yet) and the rear I/O shield This product ticked all the boxes I wanted in a monitor: 1) Ultrawide (21:9 aspect ratio), 2) ~110 DPI, 3) IPS panel, and 4) high refresh rate. First impressions of the monitor is that it was downright beautiful to unbox. The "lunar white" shell and vibrant-yet subtle-RGB on the back add a lot of class to a "gaming" monitor. The sheer size of the monitor made my desktop drool thinking about all the real estate available. The colors were vibrant, and viewing angles terrific. However, I kept my hopes in check by reading previous reviews. The most common complaints were about "light bleed" (which happens when the back light of an IPS panel "bleeds" out from the bezel of the screen while the screen is dark). First off, my opinion was tempered here simply because some light bleed is inherent to most IPS panels anyways. But, EXCESSIVE light bleed is not. Luckily, this was not an issue for me. The second most common complaint was about pixels that are "dead" (meaning that they don't illuminate ANY color) or "stuck" (meaning that they can only shine a specific subset of colors). The good news is that Dell (makers of Alienware) added a pixel test mode to this monitor. If one holds the third button down on the back for 3 seconds while there is no input signal, the monitor will cycle through pure white, pure red, pure green, pure blue, and pure black. This allows users to check for these kinds of pixels. I am happy to report that mine had none. The last part of my setup was where I lost some wind in my sails. This monitor is marketed as a G-sync 120Hz "gaming" monitor. To make use of both G-sync and higher refresh rates, one must use a DisplayPort 1.2 cable. My unit (purchased as "Used - Like New - Item will come in original packaging. Packaging will be damaged." from Amazon Fulfillment) came with all the cables EXCEPT DisplayPort-to-DisplayPort (which was listed on the item's inventory). This means I will have to wait for another delivery for another item (which I shouldn't have to purchase) because Amazon's response to COVID-19 regarding support (which I understand). Lastly, and probably the most superficial, the rear I/O shield that hides the connections was missing as well. As many may think that doesn't REALLY matter because, really, how often does one actually see the back of their monitor? It matters to me because I have a floating desk (a desk that faces the room, not a wall). This means I see the back of my monitor all the time. Aside from these minor issues, I strongly encourage anyone looking at this monitor to get one if they can find a deal. This has been, by far, the most high-end monitor I have purchase and I have ZERO buyer's remorse.

Got this on sale, didn't want to chance it so I bought it right then. Best impulse buying decision I've made thus far. Now I'm not an expert or someone who knows about monitor features 100%, but I really feel like this monitor is worth raving about. First of all I was scared the curve was going to end up hurting me eyes, since I've had that experience with curved monitors before, but this one has not bothered me one bit. It's a beautiful screen with beautiful colors. I've hardly used my actual tv for anything anymore, since I just hook up this display to my consoles along with my pc. I watch movies on this (uhd video looks incredible), edit in photoshop/premier pro, surf the web, game, etc. and it handles everything amazingly well. I can't say enough about this monitor, and in my excitement, I find it hard to find the words to express just how happy I am with it. My only gripe (and this is really nitpicking since there's an easy work around for it) is that it didn't come with built in speakers, so having to find an alternative way to listen to audio was kind of annoying. But again, that's nitpicking and since I've set up some external speakers, it's really a non issue for me. Thinking about it now, I would definitely pay full price for this should I find the need for another one. Completely satisfied with this purchase. I don't think I'll need another monitor for a few years.

I can't put into words how I truly feel about this beast. It's quite amazing. After playing the latest COD:MW and Borderlands 3, and trying to play across a dual monitor setup, I got annoyed with the bezel in the middle of my screen. I've never owned an ultrawide, but seen some while roaming around Best Buy whenever I go. I never found that much interest in one until this was setup in front of me. I like to buy things once and have it last me for a long time, or as long as I can. So when I saw this on sale at $400 off msrp on cyber monday, I impulsively hit the "add to cart" and slammed down on that "checkout" button. I've completely upgraded all of my pc components over the past year, minus the case, that was about 6-7 years old. I stream a little bit at the moment and trying to get a little more into it. I don't compete. I do some video editing for fun (personal car/racing), but mainly I just enjoy playing video games on my off time. So personally, this monitor was a game changer for me. I will never get a standard display unit for my main screen. Of course that's if I ever upgrade. I chose to spend the extra money for the 4 year Amazon protection plan. Obviously I play with ultra settings. I have Nvidia and Intel. Both of my side monitors are Dell 2560x1440 144hz gsync. The only negatives I have With some brief google searching, it appears to be a known issue among AW users with the AW software to adjust lighting via the desktop application. Even with downloading all updates via Dell, and downloading the program off the MS store, there is still no access with repeating "updates available" on the AW desktop app. It appears if your desktop isn't an AW, you have no access to the app. SO, you will have to change/adjust the RGB lighting via the monitor menu options. I currently have it set from factory and adjust all my peripheral lighting for a "Tron-ish" theme. Maybe eventually an AW/DELL software update will fix these issues. This is my one and only complaint. The brightness issues as reported by an earlier review, I have personally no such issues and in fact have turned it down slightly. I think it's set at 45% from 50% factory. I personally cant handle bright screens playing in a dark room with unicorn colors all around me. I've got the Hue light bars turned to about 50-60% brightness as well. All the other lighting is set at max, minus my gpu at about 46%. Figured I'd comment on that part. Consideré esta opción después de leer en Reddit algunas recomendaciones de este monitor vs el LG 34GN850. Dentro de las ventajas de esta opción de Alienware está que cuenta con mejor soporte por parte de Dell y una garantía de 3 años (vs 1 año de LG), además de que cuenta con módulo nativo de G-sync. La calidad del monitor es bastante buena, desde los colores, brillo, RGB y el diseño me gustó mucho. La verdad todo se siente muy premium (lo cual es de esperarse tomando en cuenta su precio) desde la caja hasta los compartimentos que tiene para gestión de cables. Si estás buscando un monitor ultrawide de 34', esta es para mí la mejor opción que hay.

The monitor is amazing with little IPS glow which is amazing.The borders are huge tho.the bottom seemed a bit disoriented.Could be because it’s curved but nothing major.

Cons: there is something I see no one talking about in regards to HRD monitors and older intel CPU, Video playback is horrible I haven't tested newer intel CPUs but anything launched before before 2018 from intel has bad video on a HDR monitor from my testing and analyzing got a AMD CPU and video playback was perfect I suspected this which is why I kept the monitor but I'm happy I did...: Next is the RGB is a joke is not bright enough and for over thousand dollars I feel it should have a music mode and video visualizer also only has 1 RGB mode ???....: also is pretty pricey.....: and last is not just this monitor but I feel like all monitors should have and auto color calibration feature :P....: due to the size most sites have big black or white borders which feels like a waste of screen BUT it is a marketed as a gaming monitor so i guess it gets a pass also to combat this i just have two applications side by side makes it a much better Pros: Videos Playback is super smooth and colors are pleasing to look at had and HRD monitor and honestly is the same HRD is mostly hype...: The Peripherals amount of connections are great...: input lag is perfect...: and gaming is where it really shines as is ultra smooth...: and last the aesthetics are really nice looks good in pictures but in person it looks perfect.... i know i wrote a lot more on the Cons but i feel like this does have more positives than then negatives if you can you're able to spend the money

I just received this gorgeous beast of a monitor, and I am over the moon. I haven't been this happy about a purchase in along time. I had the previous AW3814DW model, and the picture quality on this newer model is vastly better (and the previous generation was great!) The colours are saturated, punchy, and the response time is amazing. I mainly play COD Warfare, Madden 20, and Apex... it's like having a third set of eyes (seriously). Important notes: My particular unit has absolutely no backlight bleeding, no dead pixels and very minimal IPS glow. I hear the AW3420DW quality control was a lot better than the previous generation and I can certainly attest to that. This has easily been the best investment I've made in 2020. I also work from home so this is a win-win situation on all ends. Go buy this now I've you've been thinking about it... Now. PS: If you have any particular questions about it let me know!
