Exactly what I needed.
This isn't a complicated piece but it's incredibly useful. Installation was easy enough though you might need to get a lil inventive with the spring. But so far it's working great and does exactly what it's supposed to.

Good fit, easy install, works great!
An uncomplicated (no instructions necessary) install that yields a stand that operates perfectly. Sturdy build, clean welds, fit and finish are solid. If you need one (and you do), get it.

Only had it on for about a month
Functions perfectly.. probably just like the factory one. Like others, i had difficulty stretching the spring to the attachment point. My wife sat on the bike with both brakes on and i used my backhoe to gently stretch the spring enough to insert about a dozen washers to lengthen the spring. Released the backhoe and the spring was longer than needed to attach to the mounting pin. Then i simply removed each washer with a pair of pliers. I hope it passes the test of time.. if the spring tab weld fails, I'll just reweld it. Having the center stand on my Versys X 300 is awesome.. makes all wheel cleaning and chain maintenance sooo easy. A must have imo.

good enough
This stand is better than I anticipated. I, like most people, only use the center stand for oil changes and chain lubrication. It should last the life of the bike. As far as the spring, some people have complained about it, is ok as long as you crimp the ends of the spring into the galley of the posts that support them. Low probability of failure then. Additionally, if you use a (spring tool) it will be very easy to install.

Critical failure
This is the second center stand i bought, same seller. First one was for my bike, and it worked like a charm. No issues, fit perfectly, string was strong and worked witb the washer trick. The second was for my fathers bike...and as you see in the pictures the spring stud snapped right off. Critical failure where its better not to have the stand on than fighting some make shift bungee cord. Now me...i just welded it back on, some paint, and did the washer trick and its working like it should. But if you dont have a welder what would you do,if i would have had the spring installed under pressure, would i have even found the stud to be able to weld it back on.( i didnt even put pressure on the stud yet, it just fell off in my hand)... one star cause a 15 min job turned into and hour, plus hundreds of dollars of equipment needed to get it fixed. And now im wondering if my center stand (the first one i bought on my personal bike) is going to fail also. Peace of mind is gone now.

Spring is overkill
I'm hesitant to rate this with 5 stars. The bracket holding the spring on the stand is welded on in 2 spots which may not be enough long term with the amount of tension the spring provides. Another reviewer suggested using the OE side stand spring but those are unavailable at this time. I attached some photos to show a trick to connect the spring to the frame side mount. I initially tried using a smaller screwdriver to pry but found it was bending. Once I was able to pry the spring out I used a hammer to tap it over the frame mount. From there it was just a matter of getting my pry bar out from the spring.
