I was pleasantly surprised (more like SHOCKED!!!) at the quality, workmanship, attention to details, and incredible value! I had expected (for the low price) something lightweight and cheap-looking, but what I got was quite substantial. It felt good in my hands--not lightweight or flimsy at all. The release mechanism works perfectly--and so do the clasps on the shoulder strap. I went back and got the light yellow/amber version. If you're looking for the version that mimics the original the most closely, get the dark brown version. You won't be sorry. But be forewarned that this little structured, boxy convertible clutch--messenger bag is tiny--just like the LV version. The LV version costs over four grand!!! This comes with a strap. You can wear the bag over your shoulder or across your body like a messenger. It looks better and feels more secure across the body as a messenger. BTW, "Petite Malle" is French for "little luggage" or "little trunk." To pop open the lid or top, simply squeeze the two tiny studs/levers together. For less than $25, this adorable, well-made little gem could be used to adorn your bedroom even if it's too small to use.
