Build a custom Bitcoin/Litecoin/cryptocurrency mining rig with optimized air flow by utilizing these powered risers. Newest construction eliminates the problems introduced by ribbon cable risers while giving you the most flexibility in layout with the generous cable length. Reduce the load on your motherboard by powering these risers directly from your power supply's spare SATA or Peripheral (commonly called "Molex") power connectors. This is a MUST if you use more than two GPUs in a rig, and this riser was designed specifically with this in mind. Many people use Peripheral/PCIe adapters to repurpose their few Peripheral connections to help power their GPUs. But since all the mass-produced powered ribbon-cable risers have a Peripheral connector, you end up having to daisy-chain multiple Peripheral splitters into both the risers and into the Peripheral/PCIe adapters simultaneously, which can overload the Peripheral line and cause overheating of the power wires which can lead to a fire. The SATA/Peripheral adapter included with every Gravicoin USB riser allows you to utilize the SATA power connectors for powering the risers, and frees up those valuable Peripheral connectors for your cards and allowing you to use your power supply's Peripheral lines at their rated load.
