I've had this for over two years as an olive oil dispenser and it is used daily. I haven't had any problems -- it hasn't leaked, it pours at just the rate I want, and it cleans up easily. It's a great product. I've read many of the negative reviews complaining about drips and the lid being difficult to remove. I have never experienced that, but when it needs refilling, I thoroughly hand wash the glass jar, take out the silicone insert and wash that well, and use a pipe cleaner to clean the inside of the pour spout to get rid of any residual olive oil. Not allowing old oil to sit inside the spout over time keeps it from dripping and I've never had any difficulty unscrewing the top. Clean it regularly before refilling and the grip/drip problem that some folks have experienced might just disappear.

I don’t review everything I buy on Amazon anymore, but every once in awhile I find a product that makes me do a happy dance. This is one of those products! I purchased the smaller version a few weeks ago to use for pouring pure maple syrup on my morning waffles, and it has saved me a small fortune already— I no longer worry about pouring too much by accident! The precision of this pouring mechanism is near miraculous in my opinion. The choice to purchase the larger 12oz version was really because it was the same price as the smaller one. I wanted something to pour my Balsamic Vinegar without having it flood onto the food, and this dispenser has solved that problem perfectly. Plus it doesn’t drip. Plus it’s aesthetically pleasing to look at in case that matters at your house. AND, in case you’re wondering, the lid is very easy to open and close. Any 5-year-old could do it. Just buy it.

Having used these over 2 years now, the difficulty opening to refill is just too much trouble, so I removed one star. Works GREAT when filled though. Very useful bottle for our olive oil. Works great without drips, very easy to get the amount you wanted. Much easier to handle than the large bottle the oil comes in. Drawbacks: 1) the clear glass - I wish it was tinted, though it would be harder to see how full it is, it would be better for the oil. 2) Sometimes it can be a bear to get it opened for refilling. I bought a second one for my Mother and I have to refill it when I visit - she can not get it opened.

This is a great little oil dispenser bottle. The oil does not drip and it is easy to control the quantity you want. We love this in our kitchen
